Ecco the Dolphin series founder Ed Annunziata has announced that he plans to revive the franchise. The developer wants to release a remaster of the original projects, as well as a full-fledged sequel.
Ecco the Dolphin has an official website, where you can see a countdown timer. It counts down to April 2026, when something should happen. Perhaps the remaster will be released earlier, and in 2026 we will get the next part of the series.
It is noted that Annunziata plans to involve the team that created the original games in working on the series.
