The creators of the Genshin Impact gacha plan to implement a system for verifying a person's age in their project.
The developers note that all users will have to confirm their age before July 18. If this is not done, the account will be blocked. The verification will appear either when creating a new account or when logging into an existing one.
To begin with, the system will be launched in the United States on May 20. Apparently, the mechanism was implemented due to the agreement between the Genshin Impact developers and the US Federal Trade Commission. The agency's claims concerned the sale of game content to children.
