iPhone Shipments to China Drop 50%

The DigiTimes portal reports that the number of iPhones shipped to China has fallen by 50%.

At the very beginning of the year, the number of devices shipped fell sharply by 25%, after which the decline continued. According to the source, the Chinese are massively switching to devices of local brands. The quantitative ratio of companies in the Celestial Empire is as follows:

  • Huawei: 19.4%.
  • Vivo: 17%.
  • Xiaomi: 16.6%.
  • Oppo: 14.6%.
  • Apple: 14.1%.

Apple itself notes that such statistics are justified by the fact that Chinese smartphones are much cheaper than their Western counterparts.
