Sony is preparing to launch backward compatibility with older console games

There has been a rumor online that Sony will soon introduce technology that will allow users to play games from older PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP consoles. This is indicated by a recent patent prepared by PlayStation architect Mark Cerny.

Spartacus, a system reminiscent of Microsoft's Game Pass, will serve as a platform for launching entertainment from previous generations. The technology will be a sort of cross between PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, whose subscribers will have access to a huge library of old-school projects.

It is noteworthy that before Sony did not express much desire to develop their old games, focusing more on the release of new titles. Despite this, fans of the company's creativity often asked the developers to make their own Game Pass Ultimate.
