Employees of the Department of Geography of the University of Warsaw set out to recreate a detailed map of the world of The Witcher, created by the writer Andrzej Sapkowski. This project received film and game adaptations, and today we can see what locations Geralt of Rivia traveled to.
Geographers paid much attention to the location of the settlements and the terrain, where the famous witcher put to rest numerous evil spirits and fought the army of Nilfgaard. The data taken to create the map was based on information from books, the series and the game trilogy.
It is noteworthy that the version of geographers is at odds with what the designers of the Polish studio CD Projekt RED created for their game series The Witcher. If compared with an earlier project, one can see serious differences, including in the Skellige region.
