Walkthrough Momodora: Moonlit Farewell

Move to the left side using the A key to jump. In the settings you can choose convenient control by yourself. Jump down, kill enemies, but the way to the left is blocked by red vines. Hold down the down key and press jump to get below. You'll probably take damage along the way, so use the healing bell by spending magic points. A blue item will be lying nearby, which are magic points. In the next room you will learn about bow attacks. Hold "up" and press the attack key to hit the target behind the narrow passage. Go to the right, jump up using the orange cube and do a roll behind the enemy with the red shield, then attack him from behind. Below you will find a bell at which you can pray (make Moonstone offerings) to receive a blessing.

Before going left, jump up the platforms and turn right. Hold down the jump key to jump higher. There will be a dead end on the right, but here you will find a spotted berry. Eat it to increase your health from 300 to 350.

Demon Gargoyle Boss

A fairly simple enemy. He has only three attacks - a jump attack, fire breath and some kind of bright flash. After jumping, run up, roll behind his back and attack. Keep rolling behind his back. You won't experience any problems!

Koho Village

Go outside, go left and eat a spotted berry (+50 to XP). Enter the nearest building and pick up the grimalkin spirit (healer). Press Enter, go to "Companions" and confirm your companion selection. Go to the left, jump below and pet the cat. There is a title in the game that you will get if you pet a lot of cats.

Now walk to the right of your house. You can jump on the pole with the brown cat and pet it. On the right, enter the house and talk to the merchant. You will get notes with chronicles of previous events. Go further down, talk to the old men. Just below there is a gray cat. Pet it and talk to the guy guarding the entrance to the shrine. You can even walk past him and jump into the Old Sanctuary, but you don't need to right now.

Walk to the right and pet a couple of cats outside the house. Enter the pink house to talk to Momo's sister. Continue to the right until you meet the Matriarch. Watch the cutscene.

The old sanctuary

Go in the opposite direction and jump to the Old Sanctuary below the old men, behind the guy's back. Turn left and pray at the heavenly lily to increase your attack power by 2. There's nothing else to do here.

Return to the village and go to the left. Near the entrance point to the dungeon, you will meet Ceresa. She will turn demon moon crystals into symbols (special abilities). Right now, you will receive a Hunter symbol. Press Enter, go to the "Symbols" tab and activate this ability (put it in one of the two slots).

Enter the dungeon and pull the lever. You will be chased by a purple cloud. You can't destroy it, but your attacks will temporarily immobilize it. Go down to the next wall. Attack the stone cube on the left to move it to the ledge and activate the lever. This will open a passage. Follow to the very bottom and move to a new location.

Spring Leaf Trail

Right now, you can go left or right. Move to the left, killing the enemies. On the next crane, jump up to reach the spotted berry. Then go back and go to the right. There will be a dead end in the upper right room, but if you press against the right wall, you'll find yourself in a secret location. Finish off the enemy and attack the white bud to get some moon crystals. Go back and jump down at the nearest location. In the lower right corner, there is a celestial lily in the room that will increase your attack power by 2.

Go left and find a descent even lower to reveal a bell. Make an offering if possible. Descend a little lower and notice a light on the left, behind an enemy with a dagger. Interact, go down into the hole, defeat the enemies and pick up the Living Dagger symbol.

Soon you'll come out on the familiar path you visited at the beginning of the game. When you get to the next bell (the very first one in the game), meet Ceresa. Talk to her. You can create symbols for moon crystals, but you probably don't have many of them now.

Jump down to the area where the Demon Gargoyle fell down. Jump below and go to the right. You will enter a dark corridor. Break the moon crystal bud and go even further to the right. Jump up from the orange cube, there will be a Muddy Blood symbol in the upper room. Hit the bud to get moon crystals. Go even lower and go to the left. You will first see purple vapor jets that deal damage. In the next room, kill the enemy with the shield and jump a little lower to see the light. Jump down into the hole, kill the flying enemies and use the Celestial Lily (+2 attack power). Climbing up is useless, so go down and dip the holy leaf in the water. From now on, you can cut the demonic veins (purple vines) you encountered earlier. You can't pass to the right because of the strong wind flow.

Climb up from this location. Jump even higher on the ledges. There will be three flying enemies and demonic veins on the right. Smash them with normal strikes and eat the Moon Berry (+10 to mana). Follow to the left and above. Both above and to the right will be demonic veins. The path to the right leads back to where the Demon Gargoyle fell, so you'll go higher.

Kill the enemy and climb higher to find the Sacred Bell and Ceresa. She will offer you lunch. Be sure to accept to strengthen the friendship!

From here, you can go right or left. Go left first and push the rock away with your punches. Eat the peach that increases your stamina recovery rate. You can also jump down here to get to a new location.

The Demon's Edge

We'll visit this location later! Now we need to get to the fairy village!

Spring Leaf Trail (How to run against the wind).

Go to the right and go downstairs. In addition to going to the right, you will be able to pick up a companion Lava. Go up to the top. There are two transition points (besides the bottom right and the left where you came from). Jump up to the top to find yourself at the battle point with the new archdemon.

Plunia's boss, the harpy demon

Dora will help in the fight, periodically dealing damage. You'll need to dodge, avoiding the air vortexes that drag Momo down. Attack while jumping, and when Plunia falls, throw a couple of punches and run away to avoid significant damage from her powerful ability. Then run up and continue attacking. You'll be able to stun her a couple times during the fight, and each time a mana crystal will fall out of the boss. Replenish your health and eat this mana. After the victory, talk to Dora. Pick up the flower that Dora will hand over to you. Now you can run. With this ability, you can run against the wind.

Now run to the left against the two wind currents, climb up and jump to the right. You will be able to return to the beginning of the location. This is the location from the very beginning of the game. You were prevented from going to the right by the wind stream, but now you can run through it. Jump on the orange cube to get on the ledge and free the fluorescent fairy.

Boss Fierce Demon

Continue down and to the right. You will start to encounter red boars. Soon you will encounter a huge boar. Defeat him and then meet the fairy Hazelia. She will tell you about the release of the luminescent fairies. As for the boss himself, he first gains strength, and then runs left-right three times in a row. You must dodge and then counterattack afterward.

After the Demon Boar, you will be able to go down or right. Go down first and move to the left. Kill the enemies, jump on the platforms and eat the spotted berry (+50 to health points). Follow the path to the right and pick up the Ifria Resonance symbol. The path to the right leads to the Fairy Sources location. This is the way to the fairy village.

Sources of fairies

We'll visit this location later! Now we need to get to the fairy village!

The Trail of Spring Leaves (continued)

Go back to the lower left corner of the map. The place where you got the ability to break demonic veins. Go to the right against the wind, kill the enemies and save the luminescent fairy under the ceiling. And on the right you will find a tent. Talk to Melilot. To her right is the knight Siegfried.

What is written on the rune stone on the Spring Leaf Trail?

There is a large stone with strange runes on it. If you translate the runes, you get the following message:

·         Blessed be those marked by death

Continue to the right by jumping on top of it and pick up the Pawn symbol. Run through the location to the right to reach a new location.

Roots of the Moon Tree (How to get a double jump)

Overall the enemies are not that difficult, I will describe the routes in the future. On the way to the goal, search additional rooms, as you can find fruits, symbols, luminescent fairies and so on. If you start going down and go to the left if possible, exactly under this location you'll find a passage to the Demon's Ridge. Walk a little to the left, killing enemies, and pick up the Flying Skull companion. But you still won't be able to go any further now!

In the lower right corner, to the right of the passage to the Demon's Ridge, you can find the "Heretic" symbol. In general you need to go to the bottom of this location. Follow the very bottom to the right and start going up. Use the elevator. Then you can go up to the upper right corner and find yourself in the location shown in the screenshot below. There will be a lever here. Pull it to create a shortcut.

Boss Black Cat

Make your way to the right and you will encounter the Black Cat. You will have to defeat this enemy to continue on your way. The Black Cat will disappear. You will get a sickle-shaped moonflower and you will be able to double jump!

Go to the upper right corner of the location and move to the new location Sources of Fairies.

Sources of fairies

Go up and to the left to find the grimoire in the dead-end room from the screenshot below (increases the number of active characters).

Up there, when you find the sacred well, Ceresa will offer you lunch. Be sure to agree to increase friendship with her. By the way, increasing friendship unlocks new symbols from Ceresa for sale. Continue to the right and up. Pick up the Blessed symbol. Now go left to meet an archaeologist and see a new slab with an inscription.

Go to the right and jump up higher. The descent down is blocked by a pink barrier. There is a glowing stone on the right. Hit it and the barrier will disappear. Fly up on the geyser and jump into the next doorway. In general, the mechanics with stones that need to be attacked to make the barriers disappear will be repeated for a few more locations. Also beware of the bugs that crawl out from under rocks. Their basic attack deals a lot of damage. Go down and go to the right until you find the sacred bell. To the right will be a cage with a prisoner, a mouse. Walk to the right, jump on top of it. Go down a little lower on a shallow ledge so that you can shoot a bow through the narrow opening (you can't go through there). This way you will break the rope and free the mouse. Talk to her.

This is Mertil, the advisor of the fairies. Stand on the geyser to the left of the sacred bell to fly up. First go to the left and jump down to pick up a card (symbol). Once above, after killing the red star, make your way to the right to reach a dead-end room. Talk to Ceresa to bathe in the thermal springs and strengthen your friendship.

Continue left and up, turn right until you find a new sacred bell.

Fairy Village, western district

You will soon reach a new location. Go to the right and down. Be aware that you will be ambushed. After killing everyone, continue down and to the right. Soon you will be able to open a gate and create a shortcut. Defeat the boss Sorelia. It is better to attack her at the moment when she throws three stones. Dodge when you see red beams or a big red spot. This is the main way to avoid damage. Don't forget about archery.

Inside the village

Talk to Hazelia, who was rescued earlier. She will ask you to save the fluorescent fairies. Talk to her again. Provided you have already rescued several fairies, you will receive glowing strands. They will allow you to see further into the darkness. A little farther away will stand Mertil, whom you may have saved earlier. If you haven't, read the description above. He will ask you to find a lost medallion in the Fairy Springs area. This is an additional task. For now, ride up the elevators and talk to the head of the fairies. You will recognize for Lynet and Celine, brother and sister who harbor hatred for each other. Also, that black cat is Lynet, who is the one who wants to kill Celine. In addition, the Black Bell has been stolen by a demon who has settled in the Demon's Edge. You will get a special shell that allows you to repel from the walls. You can also go down to the bottom of the location to find a white lily and increase the damage. You can also get a fishing rod from the fairy in this room to fish in the same location.

Where to find Mertil's medallion (mouse)?

From the palace, move to the left side. Go down once and go left through the Fairy Sources, where Ceresa is also standing. Go from the room with Ceresa twice to the left and go upstairs. You will enter a large room with a spider web. Walk to the left and you will be attacked by a Very Large Spider. Without Mertil's quest, the boss just doesn't appear. Stand under the spider, exactly in the middle, and attack its lower limbs. Periodically, he will let off waves that you need to jump over. Every time the spider disappears, do a roll to the side to avoid the falling rocks. Return the medallion to Mertil and he will give you a statue of fairies, which will strengthen the healing bell (enemies around you will take damage).

Moonlight Chambers

You can now access this location through the Roots of the Moon Tree. See the screenshot below. There will be a number of rooms here. You will be able to explore the history of Lynet and Selin, and earn some bonuses. You can now access this location through the Roots of the Moon Tree. See the screenshot below. There will be a number of rooms here. You will be able to explore the history of Lynet and Selin, and earn some bonuses. At the very end, there will be a boss - Ghost Phantom Remains. It performs 4 identical attacks. First he shoots down a beam, then dice fall from the sky in the designated spot, after that he shoots dice (run away and jump over), then causes two scarlet clouds that later explode (stand steady under the phantom). You will also get silver moon dust.

Old Sanctuary

Return to the village. You can go to the left to collect various supplies (a niche is hidden in the wall). You can also go to the left from the niche where there is a downward slope, but when you examine the sign you will get a "Come back later" sign. Go right and at the place where the guy is standing, go down into the dungeon. Go to the left, down and to the right. Find and lower the lever. Go up and to the left, to the locked door you saw at the beginning. There will be gold moon dust lying in front of it.

Demon's Ridge

Almost all the passages will be closed. Go around all the rooms and soon you will find the right place. The ramp will be blocked, but you can push off from the walls.

In front of the entrance you will meet a creature that will remove the bubbles. Have a chat with the big cat. From now on, you will be able to use fast travel! By the way, you can go back to the fairy village and check out Hazelia. The next reward for saving the luminescent fairies is 500 moon crystals.

From the grimalkin, head up to the top. Follow up and to the left to the next bell (there are two lizards standing next to it). From here you need to go down, closer to the grimalkin. Immediately open the passage to create a shortcut. Then go below and go left to find the Black Bell. Defeat the Bloodthirsty Archdemon Sariel. When she is defeated, her brother will appear and you will fight against two demons at the same time. Fortunately, they share the same scale.

Meikan Village

If you go to the left side of the Black Bell, you'll reach Meikan Village. However, you won't be able to go any farther, as the moon's haze will block the way.

Goddamn suburbs

From the grimalkin, head down the path. This path will lead you to the boss Cursed Autarch. After defeating it, you can go down and go to the right. Go to the right to get to a new location. Go down and to the left to meet the huge snake Ishleith. She will ask for gold and silver dust.

Where to find silver moon dust and gold moon dust

You already have these materials (CTRL + F and search by the words in the text). Briefly, the silver moon dust is hidden in the Moonlight Hollow (lower right corner of the Roots of the Roaring Moon) and the gold dust is hidden in the Old Sanctuary under the village of Koho.

But first you need to kill the cursed serpent. Go to the left of Ishleet. Go down and continue down the only possible path. At the location from the screenshot below, there will be a small red demon. Take his trade. You will get 200 moonstones and a Living Blood symbol (adds an extra attack, but takes away 1% of health).

Go further, create a shortcut to the grimalkin. There will be a passage to the Tainted Serpent on the right. Defeat it. Go to the right and descend into the hole. Kill the enemies and take the card. It prevents stamina drain, but you will take more damage.

Meikan Village

You can now explore this location, located to the left of the demon frontier. At the sacred bell, you will meet Elder Yuhia. By pressing down and attacking, you will be able to enter a special mode. First, you will receive a damage boost. Second, you will be able to pass through the moon haze. Go through the village to the left, down and up to meet Ceresa. Give her a moment of your time, which will strengthen your friendship level. If you go left on the surface, you'll find a mill. But you won't be able to start it yet.

Go down. But move to the upper left corner to meet the scientist and the knight. Follow this further, to the left and down. Make your way to the hideout on the right to meet the enemies and pick up the wooden box. It was requested by Lady Juhia. Return the box to get the old map and the key to the windmill. You need to find Mitchy's servant (the big cat) and give him the old map. This is an optional quest. Just visit the cat that helps you teleport. He will take you to the right place. Go to the right, win the battle and pick up the lunite. Go back to Meikan village and give the stone to Yuhia. You will get a melodite (increases the effect of the Healing Bell).

Go back to the mill and start it up. Go up to the top and enter the building. Move through it. Once down, turn left and free the fairy. Go to the right as far as you can to pick up a symbol that allows you to shoot three arrows at once. Go back a bit and go back down. Go even lower at the first opportunity and enter the room on the right. Kill the lights and pick up the shabby grimoire to open another symbol slot. If you go left, you'll reach a dead end. Jump down (although you can't see the passage, it's there) and pick up Cactus' companion. When you go left, beware of the red mines. Soon you will have to defeat the Moon Goddess Linet.

The font of rebirth

After the fight, talk to Lynet who will send you to Selin's hideout. Climb up the small blocks and start by running to the left to find a dusty grimoire and unlock a slot for a new symbol. Overall you need to climb higher and higher. When you get to the fork where you can go left, right and up, go left first. There will be a bell here. A little further up, you'll be fighting Selin's Envy. He only has two attacks. In the first one, you need to stand in a small area that is not highlighted in red. In the second case, the explosion will occur directly next to the boss. The attacks alternate.

When you go to the right, be careful in the room without a floor. If you fall down, you will die immediately. On this side, you'll find Selin's Sorrow waiting for you. You can't deal damage directly. All you have to do is extinguish a few lights that are located in different parts of the room.

Go even higher up to the Moon Gate. Go to the left to fight against the Fear of Selin. You just need to survive the fight as the enemy automatically loses health.

Go to the right side and fight against Selin's Hypocrisy. This time you have to deal damage directly to the boss.

The final boss will have three incarnations. Nothing special, except for the fact that in the first and third battles you can fall out of the arena and die. Then you will return to the village, you can talk to everyone. The end credits roll.
