Elden Ring contains a huge amount of additional content, which includes dungeons -
various dungeons, tunnels, caves and catacombs. In this guide, we will tell you
how to complete all the dungeons associated with tunnels, tombs, graves,
dungeons and grottoes.
The grave can be accessed by walking through
the floating graveyard, which serves as the game's tutorial area. Here, in
front of the place of grace, there is a wall of thick fog blocking the way. To
overcome it, you will need two sword-shaped keys. If these keys were chosen as
a starting relic, you can use them immediately. Otherwise, you will have to
explore the game world in search of these keys in other locations.
The first obstacle is green slime that has
spread across the floor. You need to run through it as quickly as possible so
as not to accumulate a poisonous effect. Next, there is a mechanical chariot
that cannot be destroyed with weapons, since it kills the character upon
contact. You need to wait for moments and move from one niche in the wall to
another. While the chariot is rising, it is better to remain in place. When she
turns around and begins to descend, you need to run to the next shelter. There
may be enemies in some niches, but they do not pose a serious threat.
Having overcome the trap, the character comes
to an area with a bridge. The path continues, but abysses appear on the sides.
You need to carefully jump into one of them. This area contains a useful
talisman, the Erd Tree's Grace, which increases maximum health, stamina, and
carrying capacity.
The next obstacle is a machine that produces
fire. As soon as it is activated, you should quickly return to a safe place.
After the fire disappears, you can run to the next shelter and wait for the
second wave to die out. Repeat this until the trap is passed. It can also be
temporarily disabled with a bow shot.
The talisman itself is guarded by two strong
enemies located on the ceiling, and several regular enemies along the way.
Opponents can be lured into a room with a fire trap. In one of the branches
there is a lightning grease guarded by standard dungeon enemies.

After receiving the talisman, you need to jump
off the left side of the bridge. After descending, the character will find
himself in a small area with water. Having found the stairs, you should climb
along them to a room with a lift, which can be called up with a lever on the
floor. After going up on the lift, the character will receive a sword-shaped
key.
Moving further, you need to go left until you
see three pots hanging from the ceiling, between which a chariot moves. To get
the big bow of the Erd tree, you need to destroy the chariot by dropping one of
the pots on it and shooting at the rope. There are three attempts at this,
since there are three pots. If all attempts are unsuccessful, the pots are
restored after a rest.
The chariot moves quickly, so you need to
either time it accurately or focus on the characteristic sound of the chariot
hitting the bottom of the slope. At this moment you should shoot at the pot.
Moving further, the path splits: one road leads up, the other down. You need to
follow the upper path.
At the end of the path there is an elite enemy
- a guardian spirit, a knight with a sword and shield, capable of attacking
with fire. By defeating him, the character will receive the Seal of the Dragon
Sacrament. Then you need to go down and go to the end of the path until you
find the foggy door. Behind it is the boss - the Ulcerated Tree Spirit,
defeating which you will be able to summon a new spirit. This is Oleg, an
exiled knight who fights with two swords. In addition to summoning a knight,
the reward will be a golden seed, which increases the number of uses of the
flask.
If the battle occurs early in the game,
without proper character leveling, the Ulcerated Tree Spirit will be a serious
challenge. This boss looks like a giant meat snake covered in tree bark. It is
important to follow the movements of its tail and dodge in time, remaining at a
sufficient distance from attacks.
It's best to attack after his roar, when he
flies up and breathes fire, becoming vulnerable. At this moment, you should
stick to his left side and strike, avoiding random attacks with limbs. If it is
not possible to attack from the left, you can attack from the right, watching
for his stomping. When you deal critical damage, the boss becomes stunned and
you can hit its glowing eye. At two-thirds of the spirit's health, the second
phase begins, adding a new attack with area damage: columns of fire begin to
burst out of the ground, causing significant damage.
The Zamogil Tunnel can be found south of the
gate ruins, along the northernmost shore of Lake Eghil. Although the path there
is fairly straight forward, a rock will block your path, forcing you to move around
the eastern edge of the cliffs to go down to Lake Eghil and then back north to
find these tunnels. Another option is to jump down on the Flow and double jump
before falling to mitigate the damage. When crossing the lake, be careful of
poisonous pods and giant crabs. If you're unlucky, you might also attract the
attention of the Flying Dragon Egil, but you'll be able to run past all of
those enemies to get to the tunnels.
The entrance to the mine is at the northern
end of Lake Eghil. Keep moving until you reach the elevator. Stand on the panel
in the center to go down, and remember that most elevators have a lever that
you can pull to call them if they are out of place. After taking the elevator
down, activate the Grace Place before continuing to the next chamber.
These mines are inhabited by miners. Some of
them are armed with pickaxes and will ignore you while they work, while others
will attack if they spot you. All miners use pickaxes in close combat, and some
can throw explosives or shoot streams of fire. Miners aren't usually too
dangerous, but they are very resistant to physical damage and weak weapons can
bounce off of them. Magic and heavy weapons work much better, as do backstabs.
Most working miners won't react to you, so you don't even have to sneak up to
get the first hit.
Kill any miners you see fit and be sure to
collect the glowing nodes on the walls they were mining to stock up on Forging
Stones (1), which can be used to upgrade weapons.
Go down to the lower level. If you go west,
you will find a darkened room with several rats guarding a corpse, from which
you can get a blacksmith stone (1). If you go east, you'll find another
elevator that will take you further down.
Take the elevator down, but watch out for a
ledge to the southeast that you can jump onto. It is well lit and visible.
Ignore the first descent, but remember it for the future.
At the bottom of the second elevator, go
northwest to find a cell with a hut. Inside the hut is a zombie dog and a
corpse from which you can loot five large Shiny Stone Shards. Be careful, as
there is another zombie dog and two miners in the area. Kill the enemies,
search the room to find blacksmithing stones, and then take the elevator back
up. While climbing, try to climb onto the ledge in the southeast to reach the
next area.
Once you reach the ledge, continue forward to
find a chamber with five miners, spread out enough to avoid fighting more than
two at a time. Destroy them, search the corpse at the end of the tunnel to the
northwest for three Scraps of Shiny Stone, then collect the Forging Stones (1).
The third and final elevator is in the southwest. Ride it down and look north
as you descend to spot a white mineral deposit. Landing on the ledge will
reward you with Darkforging Stones (1), which can be used to upgrade higher
level weapons.
Take the elevator down, then turn southwest to
find some wooden doors behind which is the boss of the dungeon, the Stoneminer
Troll. His attacks cover a wide area and the arena is not very large, making
melee combat difficult. However, the boss has little health and is weak to
magic. Stronger single summons are preferred due to the boss's AoE attacks.
Defeating the Stone Digger Troll will reward you with a Roar Medallion.
To get started, head to the place of grace
"Balcony off the Boulevard" in Laindell, the capital of the kingdom.
Go down the stairs near the fire, exit through the open doors and immediately
turn left. Jump from the balcony to the roof of the house at the indicated point,
go forward and go down straight into an inconspicuous well, ignoring opponents.
Once in the dungeon, turn left and follow the
only path straight, without turning to the sides. After the room with the rats
on the ledge, pay attention to the convenient stairs on the left. Then quickly
run to the room where the Underground Ditch location of grace is located.
After saving in the Alienation dungeon, leave
the room with the “bonfire” and follow to the end of the hall, sticking to the
left. Jump down the hole in the floor where the bars are missing. Continue
straight, then turn right at the first opportunity. At the first fork in the
tunnel, go in the same direction. On the second, select the passage with the
grate.
Go straight until you come out of the tunnel.
Go up the stairs opposite the exit. In the next hall, open the door opposite
you, ignoring the lever in the far corner, as this is a more difficult route.
Next, carefully jump off the ledge on the left and go down the circular stairs.
Turn right at the first opportunity. After running through a narrow corridor,
step to the left, then jump down near two flowers and turn around.
There is a winding tunnel ahead. At the first
fork, turn right, go through the lattice door and turn right again. Go down the
stairs and go to the elevator, which will take the hero even lower. Check in at
the Forsaken Depths bliss and move forward until you reach the boss Mog's
hideout, the omen. After defeating him, pay attention to the wall directly
behind the throne. It can be opened by making one hit with your weapon.
The last part of the path is a long descent to
the very bottom of the catacombs. Carefully jump down along the beams, then go
down the stone ledges conveniently located on the sides and corners. The last
jump will break the fragile floor, and the Extinguished One will find himself
in the corridor that leads to the room with the Three Fingers. To open the
sealed door, you need to completely undress and approach it - this will trigger
a cut-scene.
In the dungeon you will be greeted by small
Living Jugs, some of which will explode on a killing blow, so be sure to dodge
backwards. You have to choose one of two paths: around and forward, which leads
to a trap chest, or jump out of the window on the left, after collecting the
Grave Lily of the Valley [6].
You'll notice a lever for the boss door ahead,
but you won't be able to activate it yet. There will be a chest behind you that
will teleport you back to the start. Instead, go down the steps, where two Imps
will jump down. Behind the stairs you will find another Grave Lily of the Valley
[6] and an Imp. Continue right from the stairs to the next doorway, where there
will be a Grave Lily of the Valley [5].
There will be an Imp directly above you with a
long-range lightning attack. If you have a ranged weapon, destroy it, otherwise
you can ignore it for now. To the left or ahead there will be a blocked area
with items that can be picked up later. Continue northwest through the dungeon.
After encountering several Imps, you will find
another chest with an Imp hiding to the left. To the right of the chest there
is a hole in the wall that is a false wall. Hit it to open a passage. Going
down you will find another chest and two Living Jugs. Turn back and use the
first chest to teleport to a previously inaccessible area.
There are two huge Living Jugs waiting for
you, get ready for battle. This room contains a Broken Pot and a Perfumer's
Handbook [3]. Use the chest in this room to go back.
Now use the chest from the hidden room, in
which you will find a Grave Lily of the Valley [5]. This chest will teleport
you to the top side ledge in the cathedral room. Although it is different, it
is an identical room. There will be two Imps ahead. Past them and to your left
will be a staircase leading to the ledge of the previous Imps room.
If you remember how you fell from the window,
there should be a lever here, but there is none, since this is another room. Go
down, go up the stairs and go through the doorway to the top. There will be a
large Living Jar and a Ritual Pot item. There's a small Living Jug hiding on
the right. After destroying them, go back down the stairs, under which there
will be another Grave Lily of the Valley [6]. Go through the dungeon the same
way as before and you will find yourself back in the cathedral.
This time, use chest number two behind the
illusory wall to collect loot. The first chest will lead you to a lever that
opens the door to the boss. After going through the second chest, go down the
side ledge again. To your left there will be stairs leading to a dead end with
a chest. Use this teleport chest to appear to return to the starting area, but
it doesn't. Walk around as if returning to the Place of Grace and look for a
Ritual Pot, a large Living Jar and a Forge Stone [5] in the corner.
Once you've collected everything, jump out the
side window again and continue through the dungeon. This time use chest number
1 to get into another sewer hole. There will be about three small Living Jars
and a few items to collect: Shattered Pot x2 and Phantom Lily of the Valley
[6]. On the right you will find a ladder leading to a lever and a Grave Lily of
the Valley [6].
You are now back in the original dungeon. Go
down, go up the stairs and use the chest to teleport to the beginning. Return
to Grace and continue through the open boss door.
Boss - Duelist, grave guardian, tanking enemy
with a couple of living jugs on his back. These jugs are slow and unaggressive,
so focus on the boss. Mages can cast spells from a distance, creating distance
between themselves and the boss. For melee combat, dodge his hammer attacks,
apply status effects such as Rot or Bleed, and try to attack him from behind.
When he wields both hammers in one hand, stay away as he prepares a grab attack
that can be fatal.
The ruins leading to the tomb are located on
the Weeping Peninsula, southwest of the Temple of Pilgrimage. To access them
you need to go down the western slope of the hill. As you enter the ruins,
several rats lie in wait for you. Finding the monster's Liver on the body, you
should find a descent into a small dungeon, where two Pages await you - serious
opponents in the early stages of the game, with whom it is recommended to fight
alone. After eliminating both, you can move further into the dungeon room,
where there is a chest with a Winged Scythe.
Many Elden Ring players unintentionally end up
in Cellia's Crystal Tunnel early in the game. This area is full of difficult
enemies, and many lose all their runes and also have difficulty getting back.
This guide will help you get into and out of Sellia's Crystal Tunnel.
First, head to the Burnt Ruins, located east
of the starting area in Limgrave. Enter the ruins basement and open the door.
Inside you will find a chest that is a teleport trap. Once you open the chest,
you will be transported to Sellia's Crystal Tunnel. After teleporting, fast
forwarding will not be available until you rest at the nearest source of grace.
Sellia's Crystal Tunnel is on the far eastern
side of the map. This cave is full of difficult enemies, so if you find
yourself here by accident, it is better to try to escape than to fight the
enemies. The good news is that you can leave the cave without having to fight.
After teleporting, you will find yourself in a small wooden hut. You will see a
miner walking to the left. Wait until he leaves. When the path is clear, exit
the hut and head right. You'll see some miners on the right side of the path.
Crouch and move forward to remain unnoticed. Then follow the left side. Soon
you will reach the place of grace. Rest there and then exit the cave. Once
outside, you can quickly reach any other source of grace. It is important to
remember that you need to rest at the source of grace after teleporting,
otherwise fast forwarding will remain unavailable.
The grotto is located next to the entrance
staircase to the capital, opposite the Outer Wall. Behind the railing, between
the stairs and the mountain, is a giant Miranda, ready to attack. Defeat this
flower to enter the dark cave in the wall. Upon entering, you will immediately
meet the Perfumer standing on the ledge opposite. Two more Perfumers are
located below you and on the ledge. All enemies look in the other direction and
do not notice you. There is also a large flower below and to the left. You can
either drop down and surprise the enemies, or carefully sneak behind them by
moving down the slope on the right, past the ledge. Either way, to continue
through the cave, head right.
In the next room downstairs you will see a
large poisonous flower, as well as a Perfumer and two small flowers. There is a
cliff to your left that you can safely climb down. On the other side of the
makeshift bridge are two treasure chests. One of them contains several
fragments of the Living Jug, and the other contains a bottle of Perfume. As you
continue through the cave, you will come across a Malformed Star hanging over a
large chasm. Easily damaging her and quickly retreating back into the cave for
protection, since her ranged attacks cannot penetrate inside the cave. Through
the gap you will notice objects and light. This chasm is connected to the Altus
Tunnel System, another dungeon on the Altus Plateau. It's best to destroy the
Ominous Star before completing your exploration of the Altus Tunnel, as it will
be impossible to damage from the other side. After going through the roots, you
will find a foggy boss wall.
In this battle, you will face two opponents at
the same time - the Omen Killer and the Giant Miranda Flower. The giant flower
will remain in place and occasionally make ranged attacks. Focus on the Omen
Slayer first. He moves quickly and deals strong melee attacks, and also uses a
flamethrower. You need to isolate it and destroy it first. Miranda's giant
flower won't be able to put the same pressure on you. If you want, you can use
the summon to distract the Flower's attacks while you deal with the Omen Slayer,
or vice versa. Mages will have a hard time casting spells against the Omen
Slayer. If you have melee weapons, use them against him. You can also use
summon to have the spirit fight the Omen Slayer so you can cast your spells. It
will be more difficult for melee fighters to resist the Flower, since it is
impossible to get close to it without the risk of receiving poison. Ashes of
War will help you in this case, but if you deal with the Omen Killer first, it
will be easier to deal with the flower. When the Omen Slayer uses its fire
attack, it is better to roll backwards rather than to the side as the fire
spreads.
The tunnel system is located on the Altus
Plateau and starts from the lower ravine northeast of the Altus Plateau Grace
Place. To get there, it's best to go through the campground west of the Altus
Trail. The old Altus tunnel will be on the left, behind the foggy wall and the
Imp statue, but to do this you need to run past the troll. Before using the
wooden elevator to enter the tunnel, turn back. There you can find explosive
stone blocks on the corpse.
Behind grace there will be a small hut with
the enemy inside. The miners in these tunnels are very weak against magic and
use lanterns as flamethrowing weapons. Pay attention to the barrels of
explosives that are scattered throughout the tunnel, and be careful when
fighting the miners. There's an undead dog hiding inside the hut, hiding behind
barrels to launch a surprise attack. Outside the hut, on the right side, you
will find a Forge Stone [5]. In these tunnels, blacksmith's stones are often
hidden next to or behind the huts.
Continuing through the tunnels, you will find
a ladder. There are safe areas for jumping underneath. Use the ladder to
collect all possible blacksmith stones. Past the stairs there will be another
small house guarded by an aristocratic knight. Inside the hut are two undead
dogs and a Thunder Dragon Talisman +1. Behind the house you can take the
Blacksmith's Stone of Darkness [6]. You can roll up to explosive barrels to
remove them from your path without taking damage. On the other side of the hut,
find some pills and another Forge Stone [5] hidden behind the barrels.
Return to the previous ladder and follow the
side planks, where you will encounter two more enemies. Here you can find some
Forge Stone [5] and Golden Runes. Then jump to the roof, where you can attack
from afar. There will be three noble knights there: two patrolling, and one
standing at the entrance with his back to you, guarding the passage to the
boss.
After you deal with the nobles, start looting.
In the wooden hut in front of you is a Troll Hammer, guarded by three stray
dogs. To the left of the hut you will find a Darkness Forging Stone [6], and to
the right - a Forging Stone [5]. Inside the hut you were standing on the roof
of is a Darksmithing Stone [4]. After going behind the building, you will find
another miner and a nobleman, next to which lie a Forge Stone [5] and a Forge
Stone of Gloom [5].
Return to the place where the knight stood guarding
the passage. Once you go down the path, you will see a foggy wall in front of
the boss. The Stoneminer Troll guarding the passage is distinguished from other
trolls you have encountered by its hard, stone-like skin, similar to that of
the miners in the crystal tunnels. While this makes him more durable, he is
also weaker to magic damage. His moveset is similar to other trolls, allowing
him to anticipate attacks. The main difficulty lies in its hard skin, which
will cause melee weapons to bounce. So use the dumbest weapon you have.
The dungeon you need is located in the
southwest of the place of grace “First Camp of the Gelmir Volcano”. From here,
run northwest to the large siege tower, go up, then turn south and move forward
until you find the entrance to the grave. You'll encounter a few wolves along
the way, but otherwise the road will be fairly safe.
There is another way to the tomb. First, get
to the place of grace "Primordial Sorcerer Azur", then climb the long
cliff from the east and jump down. Enter the building, go down the elevator and
activate the “bonfire”.
At the end of the dungeon, a strong boss
awaits you - the Scarlet Wolf Champion. There are also several mini-bosses
here: Graveyard Shadow, Bloodhound Knight and Chariot. The chariot cannot be
killed, but you can ride it to the desired area. The image shows a complete 3D
map of the Tomb of the Hero Gelmir, which will make it easier for you to
navigate.
As for regular enemies, you'll encounter
skeletons, pages, and a wandering nobleman. In this dungeon you can find
ghostly and grave lilies of the valley [6] and [7], the ashes of the Bloodhound
Knight Flow, the sword key, the root of death, the blade of the Mantis, the
Ring Finger (hammer) and two sets of armor (the Gelmir Knight and the
Bloodhound Knight) .
Before you start clearing the dungeon, make
sure that you have well-leveled Vitality and have the Fire Dragon talisman or
Ashes of War: Bloodhound's Tread installed, as you will have to often run
through the lava. If you're ready, go down the stairs located to the left of
the Grace Place and move down until you find yourself in a spacious tunnel with
a slope and lava.
A chariot will move along the slope, but it
will not appear immediately, but when you go down a little. Quickly run down
and hide in the nearest side niche. It is recommended to take cover in the
second opening on the right. There is no path to it, so you will have to jump
(don't be afraid of the lava, it won't cause fatal damage). Here you will be
greeted by a skeleton archer. Having dealt with the skeletons, pick up the
grave lily of the valley in the niche and study the movement of the chariot to
choose the right moment to continue the descent. The chariot will stop and turn
around in front of you, so wait and then run to the next alcove. Move in a
zigzag to other safe places, in one of which (also through the lava) the Grave
Lily of the Valley [7] grows.
In the opening with the lily of the valley
there is a ladder leading to a new room, but do not go there yet. Instead, go
lower by running across the lava. Put on the armor with the highest fire
resistance and the Fire Dragon talisman, wait until the chariot goes up, and
run along the lava down to one of the side niches. In a safe place, wait until
the chariot passes by again and continue your descent. The chariot will no
longer follow you. In the next alcove in the right corner, find the Grave Lily
of the Valley [7], but move carefully so as not to fall into the hole. Run
straight into the passage ahead and enter the room with a chest containing the
hammer Finger with a Ring.
Take the new weapon and return to the slope
with the chariot to the niche where the stairs were. Don't forget the lily of
the valley hole in the opening (you can use it later). Enter the new location
and fight the skeletons on the first floor. Examine the room to find grave
lilies of the valley [6] and [7]. Climb the stairs while avoiding the flames
from the adjacent passage. Run along the corridor with the fire, find the
Phantom Lily of the Valley [7], and then enter the room with the fire pillar
when the flames go out. Hit the pillar to stop the flamethrower. Move west to a
new room where undead and two pages await you. Defeat them and pick up the
Golden Fleece [6]. Then go back to the doorway leading to another chariot.
Directly opposite the opening there is a Grave
Lily of the Valley [6], which can be collected when the chariot drives away. On
the slope to the south is another valuable item. When the enemy passes by,
start climbing up and press yourself against the wall. Wait for the chariot to
go down, pick up the sword key and return to safety. Now it's time to go back
down. Find the right moment, go down the slope into the doorway you came
through, and may even have to jump over the chariot if it's close. Run down the
slope and hide in the side niche. Go down below and go into another opening in
the corner, where there is a Graveyard Shadow (it will drop a Mantis Blade) and
another Grave Lily of the Valley [7]. Instead of continuing down towards the
lava, go back to the narrow path, walk to the edge and jump down onto the
ledge.
Walking forward, examine the corpse to pick up
smoldering butterflies. Follow the path and enter a small room with a
Bloodhound Knight looking at a corpse. Kill him and get the Bloodhound Knight
armor set. Examine the remains to obtain the Gelmir Knight armor set. Turn
around and go up the stairs. At the top, smash the pots along the wall to get
some Root Resin and carefully jump out of the window onto one of the wooden
beams. You will find yourself above a slope with a chariot. Go down the lava
flows to the entrance to the boss arena. There are two ways to do this. An easy
but long way is to return to the beginning of the grave and drop down into the
hole next to the Grave Lily of the Valley [7] in the corner alcove near the
lava. Once you jump down there, you will find yourself at the end of the lava
path.
A faster but more difficult way is to jump on
a moving chariot. The chariot is missing the soldier statue and has a flat back
to land on. Find the right time and just step off the beam. The chariot will go
down and turn around - at this moment, jump off it and go into the niche with
the Blood of the Monster. Pick up the Grave Lily of the Valley [7] next to the
doors, unlock them and go down the path down to the golden shroud behind which
the boss is hiding.
This boss has almost the same set of moves and
techniques as Radagon's Scarlet Wolf. He moves quickly and deals high damage,
alternating between melee and ranged attacks. His biting and sweeping attacks
are very fast and are usually part of long combos, so only counterattack after
his combo ends to avoid getting caught in the middle of the animation. The wolf
can summon a magical fiery sword that he swings. These punches are easier to
anticipate and provide more opportunities for counterpunching. Block or dodge
them and counterattack. When the boss bounces, it will summon homing
projectiles (either one at a time or in groups of three) that will hover in the
air before flying towards you. They are easy to avoid, but watch out for the
enemy as he will attack you while the projectiles are still in the air.
After defeating the Scarlet Wolf Champion, you
will receive the ashes of the Bloodhound Knight Flow. At the back of the arena
there is a chest containing a Root of Death, which must be given to Gurrank to
receive the reward.
The tomb of the hero-saint in the game Elden
Ring is located in the central part of the Altus Plateau. You will find it if
you follow the main road and notice it on a hill in front of the forest. You
can also get there if you move from the north, for example, using the
teleporter on the bridge. From there the road continues along the slope to the
central hill.
When you reach this location, you will be
greeted by an assassin with a black knife guarding the entrance. This is the
same type of boss you may have encountered while collecting Roots of Death for
Gurrank. You have to be careful with his jumping attacks and bleed projectiles,
as well as his spin followed by grab and slam. Unlike underground fights, here
you are in an open area, which gives you the advantage of being able to retreat
to a safe distance, forcing the boss to return to his position. Use this to get
in a few hits as the assassin returns. You can also use projectiles such as
kukri to prevent him from disappearing. Remember that it does not restore
health until you die or rest in a Place of Grace.
Defeating the Black Knife Assassin will reward
you with his Black Knife. Inside the dungeon you will see a statue of an Imp,
which can be unlocked using the Sword Key. There you will find an enemy and a
Talisman with bloody seeds, which increases the amount of health restored by
flasks.
It is important to note that the Hero Saint's
Tomb in Elden Ring is a catacomb or crypt type dungeon where spirit enhancement
materials can be found. The core mechanics of the dungeon revolve around how
light weakens shadows. As you explore, you will see light coming from statues
or other sources. Some Imps will be shrouded in shadow, and you will not be
able to harm them until they are in the light.
A few important points:
In one of the chambers you will find the Ashes
of Laindell's soldiers.
There are guillotines waiting for you in the
corridor, from which you need to quickly run away so as not to be instantly
killed.
In a room with a depression in the floor, the
ground beneath you will crumble and you will fall down, encountering several
Imps. Wait until they come into the light to remove their protection.
At the end of the dungeon, a miniboss awaits
you, next to whom is the Talking Head “For the Cause”. He is also shrouded in a
shroud, and to deal damage to him, lure him into a lit room while walking past
the guillotines.
The main boss of the Tomb of the Hero Saint is
the Ancient Hero of Zamora. This ghost uses predictable melee attacks and
dangerous ice spells that cause frostbite. For this battle, it is recommended
to summon spirits that can create at least a couple of mobs, preferably with
ranged attacks, for example, Ashes of Puppet Soldiers. The ancient hero Zamora
will avoid every projectile, and if your mobs shoot at him, he will become an
easy target for your attacks. It is important to defeat him quickly, as he can
destroy your summoners and yourself. Defeating him will give you Kristoff,
Knight of the Ancient Dragons.
The cave system in the heart of the Altus
Plateau is a complex dungeon with illusory walls leading to the Sacred Tower of
Western Altus. The entrance to the tunnel is located under the outskirts of
Laindell. To get there, start from the Place of Grace "Small Erd Tree
Temple" or "Ghost Tree Outer Wall". In the northeast there are
several long cliffs from which you can jump down, finding yourself in the lower
part of the river. An invisible teardrop-shaped scarab lives here. Go south to
find a cave entrance.
At first it looks like a small cave with no
obvious passages. To the right of the grace and the Marika statue there is an
illusory wall hiding the real cave system. Inside you will find miners hard at
work extracting Forge Stones [5]-[6]. Not far from them, up a short staircase,
is the Golden Fleece. This seems to be all the cave has to offer, but beneath the
rafters and steps lurks a militia guard guarding a chest containing a miner's
bell. There is also a false wall behind the chest.
This path will lead to a wooden lift leading
to a dead end with tree roots. There are safe ledges you can climb down to
collect more Forging Stones. Hit or slide down the wall in front of the lift to
find a corpse with a golden rune. Hidden behind the corpse is another false
wall.
There are three ways here. To the right,
several militiamen will be waiting for you on a wooden raft. This area leads to
a dead end with a Stone Sword Key. From this place you can see the Maiden
Kidnapper hiding at the bottom of the cave.
If you have the opportunity to attack from a
distance, it is better to do it here. Once you go down, you'll find a Summoning
Finger Potion, a Golden Rune, and a Runic Arc on the ground. In the corner
where the Stealing Maiden was, there is a Blacksmith's Stone of Darkness [5].
There is a glowing object inside the statue next to the loot. To get it, lure
the Stealing Maiden to the statue, inside of which there are three Forge Stones
[6]. There is a ladder nearby that leads to the root passage.
The Golden Paw can be found on one of the root
paths in front of the militia. Behind it, the path will seem closed by roots
blocking the road. You can either jump over the roots on the right, or go down
the corner on the right. Exploding rock clusters await you on the other side.
Dodge them until you reach the Shiny Stone Shard, Old Fang and Forge Stone [5],
while avoiding the stone enemies.
A pair of False Graces can be found under the
stairs. To continue the path to the boss, go straight from the stairs, where
the Stone Caterpillar is hiding behind the boxes. Behind it lies another
illusory wall leading to a parkour area. Drop down from root to root until you
reach the boss doors.
On the roots you can see an object on a rock
ledge. Jump down from the highest point of the root to grab the Lightning
Grease. Below you will find Stone Caterpillars guarding the Golden Fleece. The
boss you meet here resembles the Alabaster Overlord: he is a large humanoid
with a huge sword. The Onyx Lord uses powerful gravity spells. Engage him in
close combat until he starts summoning meteorites, then it is better to
retreat. The boss can be easily stunned with melee attacks and spells from a
distance.
This dungeon is located in the eastern part of
the Capital Outskirts, near a place of grace called "Capital
Bastion". If you have not yet infiltrated the city itself, start at the
Outer Battlefield Wall, heading east, then go down to the moat and go under the
large stone bridge leading to the passage into the city. Continue along the
wall until you see a stone structure. Enter it and take the elevator down, then
activate the dungeon's place of grace and begin its passage.
At the end of the dungeon, you will have a
battle with two bosses at the same time: the Crucible Knight Siluria and the
Crucible Knight Ordovis. Before doing so, however, you must overcome many
obstacles, including chariots, which, although seemingly invulnerable, can be
destroyed. We'll tell you how to do this. In this location you will find fights
with basilisks, skeletons and cursed creatures (Omens). You'll be able to find
Ghostly and Grave Lilies of the Valley [5] and [6], as well as the Feather
Talisman, Ashes of the Plebeian Militia, Ashes of War: Holy Land, Sword Keys,
the Golden Epitaph, and the Greatsword of Ordovis. In addition, you will be
able to collect armor sets of the Guardian of the Tree and the Crucible Axe. We
will indicate the location of all these items.
After activating the place of grace, you will
see a passage ahead, closed by a foggy veil, which will require a sword key to
open. Go into the room and fight two basilisks that will suddenly attack from
the darkness. Examine the remains to pick up the Golden Epitaph sword.
Returning to the place of grace, turn right and go down the stairs into a
spacious tunnel with a slope.
Here you will encounter chariots. The first of
them will not appear immediately - go down the slope a little, and it will
appear above the glowing circle below. When this happens, run back to the top
platform to avoid damage (the chariot can deal about 1000 damage).
Approximately in the middle of the slope there are safe places, which you need
to get to with precise timing. Get down when the chariot starts moving down. If
you don't have time, come back and wait for the next opportunity. Watch out for
the two skeletons in the right alcove.
The next task will be to descend to the
glowing circle below. Wait for the chariot to pass you on its way up and
quickly run down, stopping under the stone arch. Another chariot will appear
here, but the space under the arch is protected from both. Wait until the new
chariot rises, pick up some Fan Daggers from the corpse on the edge of the
ledge and return under the arch. Jump off either side of the narrow arch to
continue the passage.
After jumping, you will find yourself in a
room with columns and four basilisks hiding underground. Destroy them as
quickly as possible, as they can quickly kill you with their breath. After
this, grab the Grave Lily of the Valley [6] from the eastern wall and continue
west, going up the stairs.
In the next room, two basilisks await you, one
of which is hiding around the left corner. Kill them, pick up the Phantom Lily
of the Valley [5] and enter the next passage, where you will encounter the
third basilisk. Destroy it, take the Grave Lily of the Valley [5] and go to the
next passage. Stop at the arch, as there is another slope ahead with chariots.
Be careful with your positioning so that the
chariot doesn't hit your head and cause fatal damage. Wait until the chariot
passes by, then come out of hiding and look around. Walk forward a little and
immediately turn left to another niche with items. Time it to avoid getting run
over by the chariot. Pick up the Grave Lily of the Valley at the end of the
passage and wait for the chariot to pass by. Run to the next alcove where you
will find a Sword Key on a corpse and a Phantom Lily of the Valley [6] guarded
by a skeleton.
To continue the path, you will need to go down
the slope, avoiding the chariots. Since they travel on separate routes, you can
use this to maneuver between them. Go down one side of the hall to avoid one
chariot, and move to the other as soon as it passes by. Gradually reach a small
area with a Grave Lily of the Valley [6] in the center and a safe alcove on the
left. Wait here for the chariots to pass by and change their routes, starting
to move under the platform.
Now you will need to get to the next safe spot,
located on the other side of the slope, not far from where the chariots turn
around. Run as soon as the nearest chariot passes you, heading towards the
opposite alcove. A skeleton will meet you there. Deal with it, but be careful,
as this area is smaller than the others. Wait for the chariot to pass by on its
way up, then run towards the new arch.
Stop at the columns, as a third chariot will
come towards you from above. Choose the right moment to pick up the Golden Rune
[7] from the corpse and jump off the edge of the ledge onto the wooden beam
below. Walk forward a little and jump onto another beam, where you will find
the Holy Grease. Go back a little and carefully drop down onto the next beam
below and to the right. Take a few steps forward and jump onto another beam
leading to a statue with a basilisk standing next to it. Be careful: as soon as
you get close, two more basilisks will appear. Deal with them and go to the
room from which they came, where another basilisk is waiting for you against
the wall on the left.
After dealing with all the enemies, move south
to the room where you can find the Ashes of the Plebeian Militia and the Grave
Lily of the Valley [5] (be careful, as a basilisk will come out in front of the
flower). On the western wall there is a wooden staircase leading back up to the
three chariots, but there is also a path here that will allow you to destroy
them. Return to the chasm with the wooden beams.
Returning to the abyss, walk along the beams
and carefully jump down to the farthest stone bridge below. Follow it towards
solid ground. Deal with the skeleton and continue forward. Go up the stairs,
ending up in another tunnel with another chariot. When she passes by, run
straight to find another alcove with a skeleton. Look around to figure out
where to go next.
Instead of going down, go up and enter the
room with the passage on the right. Wait for the chariot to pass by on its way
down and then run up. Enter the hidden room where you will find a pillar of
fire and a Grave Lily of the Valley [6]. This pillar is the key to destroying
chariots, as it contains a glowing glyph that spawns chariots. Hit the pillar
to raise it, but be careful as flames will start coming out of it.
To get the timing right, make the pillar go
back down, wait until the chariot reaches the nearest wall, and hit the pillar
again to make it rise. Meanwhile, run to the slope with the chariots and hide
in the nearby niche. The column will not spew flames while moving, which will
allow you to move freely along the corridor.
Once you reach the alcove, wait until the
chariot passes you on its way up, then go down the slope and enter another
alcove on the left. When the chariot passes next to you again, heading up, run
down to the very end and go into the passage on the left with two skeletons.
This section is extremely difficult in terms of timing, but don't worry if you
die here. The chariots will still be destroyed due to the change in their
routes.
When you enter the next passage, follow it and
go down the stairs. Here you will find a Sign guarding the Feather Talisman,
which increases the time of invulnerability when rolling by 6 frames. Then
return to the passage and turn right. Go up the stairs and use the elevator,
which will take you up to a room with another flamethrower pillar. Hit this column
only after the chariots have already been destroyed. If you hit it before they
are destroyed, it will prevent them from colliding.
Between bursts of fire, run down the hallway
and turn left to find a Giant Dragonfly Head and a Grave Lily of the Valley [6].
Now all you have to do is go through the passage leading to the boss arena.
Jump off the ledge to find yourself in an alcove near a slope with two chariots
moving along it (if you haven't died before and the chariots are still alive).
After this, another chariot will appear, which will lead to their collision and
mutual destruction.
Next, head north, go up the slope, open the
double doors and enter the next room. Go down the stairs, deal with the three
skeletons, go to the fog gate and go through it to begin the boss battle.
Boss fight: Crucible Knight Siluria and
Crucible Knight Ordovis
This battle will be very difficult, regardless
of your build. If you have difficulty, please come back here later. The
Crucible Knight will be armed with a jagged spear, while Ordovis will be armed
with his signature greatsword with a unique skill. Fighting both knights at the
same time will be extremely difficult due to their powerful attacks and large
radius of destruction.
Strategy Tips
Summon Spirit: Summon your strongest spirit to
distract one of the knights. We recommend Ashes of soldiers with large shields,
as they can withstand a lot of attacks.
Offensive Strategy: If the spirit can distract
one of the knights, focus on destroying the other. The regular Crucible Knight
has less health and armor than Ordovis.
Avoiding Attacks: Knights perform a series of
2-3 long attacks before a short pause. Use this time to attack, then dodge or
block subsequent attacks.
Attacks and tactics
Knight with a spear
Quick Attacks: Several fast and long sweeping
strikes.
Charged Attack: He charges his spear for a
powerful magical attack. Avoid her.
Wings: When his health drops to 50%, he will
grow wings. He will start using them for flying attacks.
Off-Hand Blade: A piercing strike that cannot
be blocked. Don't get too close.
Ordovis
Strong Attacks: Long slashes, a fall attack,
and two spinning slashes. Dodge with proper timing.
Unique Ability: Charged spinning kick that
causes an explosion. Run away and use this time to heal.
Wings: When his health drops to 50%, he will
start using dive attacks.
Tail: Includes tail swings into your combos
that must be dodged or blocked.
Final battle
If you manage to kill one of the knights
before your spirit dies, then you will likely win the battle by treading
carefully. Otherwise, you will have to fight two enemies at the same time.
After defeating both Crucible Knights, you
will receive the Ordovis Greatsword and the Crucible Ax Armor Set.
Finding the tomb of the hero who defeated the
giants will require you to move around the map quite a bit after reaching the
mountain peaks. Once in the Ruins of Zamora, you may notice items on the
plateau above; that's where you should go.
Once you reach the Freezing Lake, head west
and climb the hill to the Guardian's Garrison. After crossing the giant chain
nearby, move along the edge of the cliff in a southwest direction. There will
be several dangerous fingercreepers along this path that will cause significant
damage, so you should be careful.
At the end of the path, there will be a small
gap across the cliff, which you need to jump over to get to the last plateau.
Once you get there, head towards the massive structure ahead where the hero's
tomb is located. Once inside and using the elevator, you will find a door next
to the Place of Grace, closed by a barrier. Use the Sword Key on the imp statue
to open the door and get the Flame, Protect Me spell.
In the first room, turn right, and at the far
end of the long corridor, find the Golden Fleece (11). Next, fight several
enemies, including the Lesser Pyre Watchdog, all of whom will be shrouded in
shadow. In this state they are immune to damage, so use the golden floor seal
to attack them. Then go down the stairs to get the Grave Glove.
As you move further, you will encounter Fire
Monks near a pillar spewing flames. Take a moment to attack the monk and
deactivate the flames by hitting the pillar. After climbing the stairs and
defeating another monk, you will reach another barrier, which can also be
opened using the Sword Key. At the end of the corridor there will be a Skull
Candlestick and a Grave Lily of the Valley guarded by shadow enemies. Drop down
the hole in front of them to find a flame pillar and lift it back up, which
will activate the golden floor seal to destroy them.
After defeating the enemies, take the
Candlestick from the skull and return to the beginning of the corridor. Take
the elevator down to the large room, then send the elevator back up while
staying at the bottom to make another golden floor seal appear. Activate the
lever next to the seal to open a large corridor with a shadow giant; fight him,
bringing him to the golden seal. After defeating the giant, the door to the
boss will open.
To get rare items, go up to the elevator you
used earlier, press the lever and jump inside before it moves. In the basement,
fight the prelate and two burial guard dogs. Crystal darts will temporarily
stun the guard dog, making the fight easier. After defeating the prelate, you
will receive the Giant's Seal and the Great Grave Glove.
Back in the room where the giant was, go to
the boss room. In the late game this boss won't give you much trouble, although
he is very fast. His main strength is agility and frost attacks, but summoning
spirits will help you defeat him quickly. After defeat, the boss will drop a
set of Zamora armor, which provides magical protection. Collecting Zamor's
armor and sword will complete the dungeon.
