Walkthrough Cat and Mouse in ZZZ

Cat and Mouse is a chain of three personal quests for Agent Nekomata, which you can complete during the interlude to the second story chapter.

Cat and Mouse 1 (Cat and Mouse)

• Location: Old Town area
• Goal: Walk the survey route together with a guide.
• Reward: 450 Internot Credits, 60 Polychromes, 2 Elite Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Senior Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Banbu Algorithmic Modules, 9000 Denny.

After the conversation with your brother/sister and the cut-scene, select a team and go to the HDD. Climb higher to the guide and fight the first enemies. Follow the man and go around him to stand on an unknown square. Climb straight up to get the first data packet. Continue moving behind the conductor, immediately check two unknown cells at the top right and bottom right of the stopped conductor.

After winning the second battle, collect the senior researcher's box and the second data package, follow the guide all the way up. A passage will appear on the right. Move there, on the piston, to get to the red button. Follow the guide to the right and win the third battle.

Go right to get the third data packet and find a "magnifying glass" that opens up an additional area. Restore your health or take the banbu plugin with you, then go to the last enemy.

Cat and Mouse 2 (Cat Patrol)

• Location: Old Town area
• Goal: Find the best place to leave the bait
• Reward: 450 Internot Credits, 60 Polychromes, 2 Elite Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Senior Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Banbu Algorithmic Modules, 9000 Denny.

Enter the dive system, collect the sixlings (500) and follow the passage on the left. There will be an enemy here, but you can get around him. Move right twice and take 500 sixerlings. Climb up to the Senior Researcher's box and go even higher to start the first battle on the blue dot.

After winning, go up and left to the Elite Explorer's Box. Go up and to the right to the first surveillance data packet. Optionally, go to the green square if you need to heal. Teleport further. If you want to get the Senior Researcher's Box, you will have to move through the red cells, otherwise this line of monitors will simply disappear. Stand on the blue dot and fight a second time.

Standing on the “magnifying glass”, you will see several arrows that show the correct route. If you see a red arrow, it is pointing in the wrong direction!!! Thus, to get to the right place on the first try, proceed as follows:

1. Lower teleport.
2. Right teleport (take Denny along the way).
3. Upper teleport.
4. Upper teleporter (but first you can read the note on the right).

Even if you make a mistake, the game will help you and eliminate the wrong portals. After completing the maze, pick up Denny and the Elite Explorer's Box, and then fight the enemies. Enter the teleport, go down, picking up the third packet of surveillance data along the way. Collect three Denny's and stand on the blue square in the center. Go down into the portal below and start moving the only possible way (monitors will appear). When you get below, turn right to find the third surveillance data package. Go left and fight the enemies to complete the task.

Cat and Mouse 3 (Cat Thief on the Hunt)

• Location: Old Town area
• Goal: Help Ollie detain the bandits.
• Reward: 500 Internot Credits, 60 Polychromes, 2 Elite Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Senior Researcher Supply Boxes, 2 Banbu Algorithmic Modules, 10,000 Denny.

Follow the only route by pressing the red button. Continue up to the second red button. Climb higher and fight the first enemy. Go left, take the Senior Researcher's Box and stand on the piston. Pick up the first packet of surveillance data and stand on the third red button. Continue moving right and up, picking up 1000 sixlings along the way.

Stand on the piston and immediately after moving enter the battle. Climb up and collect the Elite Explorer Crate and the second Surveillance Data Packet. Be healed if you wish. Climb higher onto the blue square. If you want to get the third package of observation data, after the cut-scene you will have to kill the opponents on the left or pay them 2000 sixerlings. You can pay because you don't need the money for anything else. Then deal with the enemies on the right.

After winning, go up and find two boxes at once (Senior and Elite Explorers), then return to the lower right corner and stand on the piston. After moving, stand on the last piston to move to the finish line and begin the final battle.
