On October 4, 2024, the PC and PS5 versions of Until Dawn, a remake of the 2015 original, a former PlayStation 4 exclusive, were released. The developers made a lot of changes, most of which focused on visuals, but also added a prologue, new collectibles, and some changes that affect the endings of the game. In this guide, we describe a number of mandatory actions that you must take to ensure the best ending - the one in which literally all the game characters of Until Dawn 2024 survive!
To get the best ending in the Until Dawn remake, all 8 friends who ended up on Mount Blackwood must "Survive Until Dawn" (yes, I duplicated the Russian name of the game). The first "bells", or rather - real threats to the lives of the game characters, appear in the fourth chapter. In the first three chapters, you can relax and enjoy the story, but starting with the fourth, you will have to work hard!

Now let's look at the conditions for the survival of all the characters in the game!
Can Die:
Jess is chronologically the first character you can save. What I mean is that there is quite a bit of time between Jess's first chance to die and the next character, Chris, who can die. So, at the beginning of Chapter 4, Jess will be kidnapped by Wendigo and Mike will have to save her. Your goal is to get to the girl as quickly as possible. If you delay, she will die. I recommend making sure you successfully complete all the QTE scenes when trying to get to Jess via a shortcut!
The next time Jess can die is in Chapter 10, where she meets Matt. When playing as Matt, do not leave Jess. Instead, hide together twice and successfully complete the "Don't Move" minigame to save both characters.
Can Die:
Chris's fate is affected by his relationship with Ashley. Whenever Ashley can die in the games devised by the maniac, you must save her. In the fifth chapter, choose Ashley instead of Josh, and in the sixth, shoot yourself. This will bring Chris and Ashley closer together, ensuring the guy's survival during the escape from the Wendigo.
After this, all that remains is to escape from the Wendigo after the death of the man with the flamethrower. If Chris and Ashley do not get closer, she will not let Chris into the house, and he will die.
Finally, in the ninth chapter, playing as Ashley, calm Chris down by choosing the appropriate option. As a result, he will not distance himself from the group and will not get into trouble.
Can die:
Ashley can die only in one moment - if she decides to follow the sound in the ninth chapter. This happens after you close the hatch and separate from the group. Choose the "Join the group" option to avoid meeting the Wendigo, who pretends to be Jess. This will be confirmed by Jess herself during the final credits (of course, if she survives).
Can die:
Saving Matt is quite difficult. Even if you support Emily, this can lead to his death. To keep Matt and Emily's relationship at a high level, as well as save both characters, first of all, in the fifth chapter, do not agree to her offer to go up to the tower. In Chapter 6, don't hit the moose with an axe. When the tower collapses, try to save Emily only once, then jump to safety.
In Chapter 10, Matt will meet Jess in the mines. You need to complete two "Don't Move" minigames and choose the "Hide Together" option twice. In the end, both characters will survive!
Can die:
To save Emily, pick up the flare gun on the tower in Chapter 6. Decide to keep the flare gun. Although it is not necessary to save the characters, but with the flare gun you can protect Emily in Chapter 8, when the girl is attacked by Wendigo.
When you run from the Wendigo through the shaft, turn left and activate the elevator. Because you will skip the mini-game "Don't move". Successfully complete the QTE and stay on the conveyor to shoot down the Wendigo with the flare gun.
Can die:
In the Until Dawn remake, Josh can be saved. Choose the lines "They hurt me" and "I'm so sorry" in the final conversation with Dr. Hill in Chapter 8. In Chapter 10, playing as Sam, find Hannah's diary near the water wheel. This will prevent Josh from dying.
Can Die:
While you don't have to save the wolf for the best ending, you can do so by successfully completing the QTE in the prison cells. When the choice appears, lock the door to ensure the beast's survival.
Can Die:
In Chapter 5, do not interact with the waving hand in the sanatorium to avoid a trap that will cause Mike to lose his fingers.
Mike's survival also depends on Sam's actions. Choose the "Save Mike" option to prevent him from sacrificing himself in Chapter 10.
Can Die:
You must successfully complete the "Don't Move" minigame in the final confrontation with Hannah and the other Wendigos. Sam must wait in cover until the opportunity to leave the house appears.
