These catacombs are located in the Giant's Peak region, where you will go towards the end of the game to find a forge that can set fire to the Tree of Erd. Get to the fork and turn right. There will be a lift at the end of the path. Ride it down.

Ahead you will see a closed door. Go left and at the very end go down again. Run forward to the statue, turn right and go up the stairs. Go around the button in the floor to avoid the trap. After falling down, go right, drop down into the square hole in the floor, go south and note that there is a statue on the other side. Go around the room in a circle without jumping down, and pull the statue's lever. Now you can return to the door with the boss. You have to fight with the Manifest Wood Spirit.
