In this walkthrough, we will give a sequence of actions that will allow you to save all the characters in the game, find collectibles, including clues, evidence and tarot cards.

How to kill all characters - read in a separate guide
Prologue "Forest"
During the first trip by car, you need to complete the QTE tests:
After getting out of the car, open the trunk.
Laura will find a rejection letter. After a short conversation with her boyfriend Max, interact with the glowing marker at the bottom of the screen to look into the forest. When talking to Max again:

Laura will go alone to explore the forest. There are several collectibles in this section:
- Tarot #1: Fool - go left and look for an item behind the stone
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #1: Harum Scarum Poster - Next tree on the right
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #2: Illusionist's Chest - Go right, then go left at the fork, look inside the chest
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #3: Broken Cage - Next turn right, at the end of the side path
After collecting 4 collectibles, follow the main path. Perform QTE actions:
ByAfter you return to the car, policeman Travis will appear. Choose the following phrases:
- Honesty "Something popped up"
- Honesty "It was dark"
- Friendliness "We're Going to Camp"
- Concession "We'll go to a motel"
- Relief "That guy was weird"
Even though you told the cop you were going to the motel, you're still going to the Hacketts Quari summer camp. After the cut-scene, go downstairs and look in the direction where the headlights of the car are pointing - at the door of the bunker. Choose how to open the door:
- take the key
- Persistence “Yes, I saw it on the Internet”
Then you will go down to the bunker. Walk forward and you will automatically pick up the collectible:
- Camp Hackett Clue #1: Bloodied Collar
After finding the collar, move on until the cut-scene starts. Next choice:
Chapter 1
During the first cut-scene of this chapter, you will see the camp counselors say goodbye to their campers, and then you can choose the phrase:
- Thoughtfulness "Who knows..."
Now you will play as Jacob (the guy in the green sweater). There are three collectibles in this section:
- Hackett's Camp Street #2: Hunt Notice - From where you start, turn right and go between two parksprivate cars, look for hunting notices at the edge of the area.
- Hackett Camp Clue #3: Camp Sign - Go upstairs from the hunting sign (cut-scene at the door). There is a plaque on the wall to the left of the door. Examine her.
- Tarot #2: Temperance - From the sign go left and through the window. Enter the next room, which looks like a large dining room, then turn right to the locked door and go to the kitchen on the left. You will see a tarot card.
After collecting all 3 items, take the bags from the stairs (whether you are talking to the two guys at the back of the house or interacting with other items). After receiving the bags, you will talk to Caitlin (black-haired girl) who is outside by the cars:
- Playfulness "What about you?"
- Mischief "Sexy"
- Courage "It's just a fling"
- Break the gas line
- QTE: Up (picks up the phone)
- Friendliness "At least I got something"
A scene will begin with a conversation between Abigail (red-haired girl) and Emma (brunette):
- QTE: Up
- Open (important to get the next collectible)
Inside the hut, move to the left side of the screen and pick up the bear:
- Pick up (this could save your life later)
Now you can freely move around the territory. There are 4 collectibles here:
- Evidence "Fire in a traveling circus" No. 4:Newspaper Headline Clip - Inside the hut on the left side of the screen, between the first and second row of bunk beds.
- Camp Hackett Clue #4: Camp Song Recording - Go outside, go right to the hut with "Room 08" above the entrance, check the radio in front of it.
- Clue #1: Empty vial. Check out the big tree in the center, behind the swings.
- Camp Hackett Clue #5: Information Sign - Check the sign behind the large tree in the center.
Now go to Emma, standing at the other end of the area. Conversation with Emma:
- Enthusiasm "Let's do it"
- QTE: Right
- scenic path
- Support "I believe you"
After that, you will return to the house and chat with the guys:
- X Poke (interrupt)
- Friendliness "About me?"
- Support "You should have seen the children"
- Understanding "Nothing"
Chris Hackett (camp leader) will appear, Ryan follows him to his office. While Chris is answering the phone:
- eavesdrop
- Anxiety "Is everything okay?"
- Apology "I didn't think about it"
- Curiosity "Why?"
After Chris Hackett and Ryan return to the street with the others:
- QTE: Left (water bottle)
- QTE: Up (catch keys)
- Concession "Yes, of course"

Ch??VA 2. Truth or Dare
During the first cutscene as Emma:
After the cutscene, you will enter a large storage room and control Emma. There are 2 collectibles in this room:
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #5: Damaged Merchandise - At the starting point, behind the first shelf on the left.
- Camp Hackett Clue #6: Cottage Renovation Plans - At the end of the warehouse on the right, next to a large wooden table.
Whether you scare Jacob or not doesn't matter. After obtaining both collectibles, interact with the door at the end of the warehouse:
You will then enter a locked room with a stash. After Jacob takes the beer, find the collectible:
- Clue #2: Torn Bags - Check the bags in the right corner of the room.
Also take the shotgun from the floor, which has a code for the safe. Then talk to Jacob again to exit the room.
Return to the entrance. At the exit, Emma will automatically open the safe. Choose from the following:
- Leave fireworks
- Tenderness "What kind of lads?"
Next scene with Dylan and Ryan in Chris' office:
- Friendliness "What are you listening to now?"
You can now explore Chris' office, there are 2 collectibles here:
- Hackett Camp Clue #1: Family photo??fia - look at the photo on the table.
- Camp Hackett Clue #7: Counselor's Log - Interact with the hatch on the floor behind the table and retrieve the item (choose the phrases below)
- Suspicion "Looks like it's a basement"
- get off
- Playfulness "Ring!"
You can also check the phone next to the trash can:
- Sarcasm "It would be cool if someone called you"
Check the shotgun on the wall:
- Seriousness “And if necessary?”
Note : if you interact with the shotgun on the wall three times, then upset Ryan; it has no serious consequences and will not spoil anything.
Interact with the door next to the shotgun:
Once through the door, interact with the cabinet/door in front of you:
- Mischief "So he was looking for Bigfoot"
- Inside you can see the screens
- You can check the letter on the box on the right side
- Can check the maps on the wall
- Go back outside, check the bathroom mirror on the right side.
- Left side checks the bedroom guitar on the wall
- Go back to your charged phones in Chris' office, to Ryan's right, pick them up:
- Go to a party
The next scene is Nick and Abigail walking in the woods. You will have to decide which path to take. Each one contains different collectibles and they cancel each other out in ?That passage. To collect collectibles, you will have to go through the chapter again when the chapter selection option opens (unlocked after completing the story). For this playthrough, head to Shady Clearing and remember that you will have to take a different route on your next playthrough.
- Shady clearing (selection on the left)
There are 2 collectibles on a shady clearing:
- Camp Hackett Clue #3: Camera Trap - From where you start as Nick, follow the path to the right and head to the far right edge of the area. There is a camera on the tree to the right of the path that you can interact with.
- Camp Hackett Clue #2: Forester's Box - Go straight from the camera trap until you find a metal box. Interact with him to get a collectible. If you see a cut-scene in which Abi gets scared of birds and falls into Nick's arms (see options below), after him go to the left. When in doubt, back up your save before heading to the end of the forest. Otherwise, you risk missing this collectible.
After getting the two collectibles, return to the main path in the middle of the area and keep going. In case Abi falls into Nick's arms while trying to hide from the birds:
- "Don't worry" persuasiveness (it's okay if you neversee this video, it's optional, no consequences)
Then, in the following sequence, at the edge of the forest:
- Sincerity "You have talent"
- QTE: X Rescue Abi
- Don't Breathe: Hold X until the screen stops flashing red when the breath indicator is almost depleted (no consequences if you make a mistake, just changes the dialogue)
- Cheerfulness "There will be something to talk about" (if you could not complete the event, the dialogue will be different, but this has no consequences)
Next scene as Caitlin at the lake:
- Move the camera and press X to take a photo
- Honesty: "The Strange Light in the Treehouse"
- Seriousness: "Are you okay?"
- Hardness "No one will trust you with a shotgun"
Next scene with Nick/Jacob:
Shoot melons and bottles with a shotgun. It doesn't matter which one, because Jacob still misses.
- Schadenfreude "Sing about claps"
Next campfire scene at night:
- X - abort
- Truth (I'm an open book)
- Mischief "The Witch of Hackett's Quarry"
- Caitlin
- Mischief: "Have you ever dated Jacob?"
This will end the chapter. In an interlude with the old woman, she will say that you did not find the Tarot Cards, but this is normal, they were not on the path traveled (you had to choose another path, not a shady clearing).
Chapter 3 Trouble in Paradise
At the beginning of the chapter, you play as Abigail, who walks through the forest at night. There is 1 collectible here, it's easy to miss if you run the cutscene, so make a manual backup of your save just in case:
- Tarot #5: Tower - follow forward until you see the camera change. A tarot card hangs on a tree. Be careful, if the cut-scene starts, you will not be able to pick up the card.
After you head to the exit from the forest, a cut-scene will start in which Nick calls Abi. Choose from the following:
- X - call
- Honesty "It started to stress me out"
- Caution... "What happened..."
- X - kiss
(Nick is always attacked at this point, no matter what, there is no way to prevent it)
- Help Nick
- QTE: Up
- run
- X - press several times
- Don't climb the tree! (DO NOT press X - let the timer expire) > Abi will hide behind rocks instead.
Don't Breathe: Hold X until the screen stops flashing red (when the breath bar is almost depleted and the monster turns around) > this is important, if you make a mistake the monster will bite you even if it doesn't kill you You will become infected and this will change the course a lot events.
When you can control Jacob, look for 4 collectibles in the area:
- Tarot number 4: Star - from the starting point, go up??red to leave the pier and the camera will show a tarot card.
- Camp Hackett Clue #4: No Swimming Sign - To the left of the tarot card, interact with the railing
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #6: North Kill Gazette - Turn around to find an item against the railing.
- Camp Hackett Street #5: Old Camp Photo - Walk left to the end of the boat house to find the photo on a wooden beam.
- Optional - can interact with the boat on the shore on the right (but it won't do anything)
Now go upstairs to the boat house. Interact with the empty towel box. If you wish, you can interact with the binoculars on the left and the diary on the right in this room (but this is optional). Return to Emma by the lake to start a conversation:
- Enthusiast "Bomb!"
- DO NOT splash (DO NOT press X)
- Flirting "Take a picture of me"
Jacob hears Abi's cry for help and runs away. Note : If the rotator cover is stolen from the car instead of sabotaging the fuel line, Jacob will lose it in the lake and you will have the choice to jump into the lake and dive for the cover or help Abi. In this case, choose the help of Abi.
Next scene as Ryan:
- Concern "Where's Nick?"
- Persistence "Okay, I'm going"
- Cutting down
- QTE: Up > Up > Left > press X
- Cutting down
- QTE: Up > ??left > left > up > right
- Shout X
- Shoot the big guy R2 (he'll walk away)
Next scene as Jacob:
- DO NOT "call" (DO NOT press X)
- Press on X
- Prayer "Let me go"
- Don't throw dirt! (DO NOT press X) > the big guy will smear you with blood, this will protect you from monsters and help save your life
Chapter 4
During the cutscene as Ryan looking at Nick's injury:
- Click on X
- Neglect "Why?"
- X - call
- Do not shoot!!!
- Interest “What happened to you?”
- X - let go
- QTE: Right
The next section is Emma on the island. There are 4 collectibles here, some of which are missable. Make a backup.
- Tarot #7: Wizard - Once you take control of Emma, turn around and head down the docks. Look for an item at the end of the docks when the viewing angle changes.
- Camp Hackett Clue #7: Box of Matches - Go to the stairs, take the right path, on the ground. Along the way, select Pensiveness. Then look to the left for a fire and inspect it. Don't interact with the stairs or a cutscene will start.
- Camp Hackett Clue #6: Police Car Keys - Go back to the stairs (left path). Then go up the stairs, select Empathy. Go to the end of the stairs until you find a tree hut. Examine the keys in ?to the left of the door. Don't enter yet! (otherwise skip the collection)!!!
- Evidence #4: Photo of the attack. Now go through the door to enter the hut, triggering a cutscene. You must select the following options: "Search bags" > "Use a shocker" > X "take a picture". Get a collectible photo that counts as evidence
- QTE: Down > Press X > "Use Spray" > Up > Up > "Barricade Door" > "Use Hatch" > Down > Down > Press X
Emma will place the toolbox on the hatch to block the monster, thus surviving the encounter.
Dylan's next cutscene (contains 1 collectible):
- Tarot #6: Strength - Press X constantly to pick up a tarot card when the party enters the house; can only pick up for the first few seconds, easy to miss and impossible to return.
- Optimism "I hope everything will be alright"
- Nadezhda Glad to hear it!
- Decisiveness "Call the Cops"
- Suspicion "It's weird"
- Serenity "Only for a while"
- Defense "Does she need it?"
- Give back the gun
The next scene is when Emma turns the crank:
- wind slowly
- DO NOT "speed up" (DO NOT press X)
Chapter 5
The first cut-scene with Nick and Abi talking:
- Gratitude "I'm fine"
- DO NOT Speak (DO NOT PRESS X )
- Reassurance “We can do it. Be careful"
Next cutscene as Caitlin in The Lodge:
- QTE: Right
- QTE: Left
- Don't Breathe: Hold X until the screen stops flashing red (the bar will be about 25% full)

Nick and Abi:

The next scene is Dylan and Ryan, during their conversation there is no choice. But when you control Dylan, you can find 5 collectibles in the houses:
- Camp Hackett Clue #8: Bear Trap Triggered - After arriving at the lodges, check the far left side, there is a bear trap on the ground in front of the fence.
- Camp Hackett Clue #8: Letter to Camp Nurse - From the bear trap, go to the right, in front of the house called Room 03, there is a letter on the ground.
- Tarot number 8: Devil - from the note, go to the center, where there is a large tree and a swing. Walk between the tables and swings to see the tarot.
- Clue #5: Claw marks. Go to the end of the area where Ryan leads (exit the circle of houses), go to the hut in the corner, but DO NOT GO INSIDE YET. To the left of the hut door, there are claw marks on the wall that need to be examined.
- Tarro #9: The Hermit - from the claw marks, go toevo and go around the corner of the hut; the camera will show the tarot.
After collecting all 5 items, you can talk to Ryan, who is waiting at the door to the hut. Then go inside by saying:
Inside the radio room with Ryan and Dylan:
- Interest “How do you know about this?”
- Anxiety "It's definitely about us"
- "I wasn't sure" excuse
- DO NOT shoot (do not press anything when pointing the cannon at the ceiling)
- Aggression "Kill him"
- Confidence “How can it not help?”
- Calm "Calm down"
- Despair "Just hold on"

- Uncertainty "I don't know"
Chapter 6
At the beginning of the chapter, you are in control of Jacob. There are 2 collectibles here:
- Evidence #6: Memory card. As soon as you can walk, Jacob will go up the wooden stairs. Keep to the right side, at the end of the wooden path on the right there will be a camera that you have to pick up.
- Tarot #10: Justice - Go downstairs and exit the passage. Then turn left and go to the end of the screen to see the Tarot. Don't go to the right or a cutscene will start!
After getting both collectibles, go right. During the cutscene with Jacob and Emma:
- Relief "Impossible!"
- Apology"Damn, I'm sorry!"
- QTE: Right
- Hide
- Don't breathe: hold X until the screenwill not stop flashing red (about 30% air will remain)
- Open
Next scene as Caitlin:
- Sympathy "How are you?"
- INTERFERE X
- Help Nick
You then play as Abigail and can walk around the pool house. There are 3 collectibles here:
- Camp Hackett Clue #11: Camper Photo - Right side, in the corner of the room, on the wall
- Tarot #11: Moon - Turn left and enter the third dressing room (not the toilets), walk forward to see it.
- Camp Hackett Clue #10: Creepy Drawing - Exit the locker room and check the locker at the end of the hallway for a drawing.
Return to Nick, talk to him:
- Calm "I really enjoyed talking to you"
- Sympathy "I like you"
- Shoot at Nick (when Abi takes a shotgun, you need to shoot by pressing R2) > this is very important! If you don't shoot Nick, Abi will die. Nick will survive the shot and turn into a monster. This is a programmed inevitable part of history and cannot be prevented no matter what choice you make beforehand. It always happens. It's okay and we can save "Nick" later, he's not considered "dead". After Nick transforms into a monster, he will run away without attacking Abi (because she shot him, he got scared and won't attack).
Next you will play as Emmay, there is 1 collectible here:
- Camp Hackett Clue #9: A Child's Letter Home - From where you start playing Emma, turn right to find it in front of the tent.
Now, playing as Emma, follow the path leading from the fire. You can inspect the rubble at the end of the path (optional, no consequences). Then you can choose the left or right path. And it doesn't matter which one you choose. There are no collectibles on both routes. There is 1 interactive element on each path, but they don't matter and do nothing (on the left path there is an animal carcass, on the right path there is a hunter's trap). Both paths lead to the same point, always leading to the same cutscene. Let's take the left path (again, doesn't matter, same result). After you reach the end of the path at the top of the hill, a cut-scene will begin:
- DO NOT run (DO NOT press X)
- Reassurance "You did the right thing"
- Suspicion "Who's there?"
- Interest "I will open the door"
Chapter 7
Cut scene with Laura:
- DO NOT call (DO NOT press X)
- Concession "Laura Kearney"
- Concession "Okay"
- Intrigue "Okay, Sheriff"
- Prayer "Stop bullying me"
- DO NOT pounce (DO NOT press X)
- Anxiety "Are you okay?"
- Disappointment "I was hoping you would tell me"
- Concession "I'm sorry, sir"
- Concerns about Ostawhack him!”
Next, you can control Laura in her cell, where there are 2 collectibles:
- Tarot #13: Peace. Inside the chamber, move to the bed and back to the door, and you will see a map under the bed.
- Camp Hackett Clue #9: Scribbled Rhyme - Interact with the right wall.
Examine the left corner of the room (to the left of the bed) to see a wall. Interact with the bed to find the spoon. Laura will use it to loosen the rock in the wall.
After that, a new video will start, Laura is talking to Travis (cop):
- Fright "We'll tell you everything"
- Seriousness "Are you okay?"
- Thoughtfulness "Doesn't look too much like a kidnapper"
- Encouragement "He can't keep us here forever"
- Empathy "I'm sorry, Max"
- Serenity Looking for answers?

After that, you can freely roam the police station as Laura. There are 4 more collectibles here and some other interactive stuff:
- Tarot #12: The Chariot - In the lobby, walk between the tables to see the card.
- Evidence #7: Warning letter - downstairs, up the little stairs in the corner
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #7: Heartbreak?Your sheriff's badge - upstairs in the second office on the right side after entering.
- Camp Hackett Clue #10: Bizzare Yet Bonafide Podcast - Examine the greeting card in the first office upstairs and the calendar in the third office upstairs (also examine the locker to get a syringe). Then go downstairs where you found the collectible and enter the cop's office. Use a computer. Laura will use the clues she got from the offices upstairs to figure out Travis's birthday and use it as a password. Get a collectible.
If you haven't already, go back upstairs to the third office to open the locker and get the syringe. It will come in handy soon!
Optional interactives (whether you interact with them or not, they don't count as anything and have no consequences): The office with the computer also has a hint on the wall. It can also interact with all the doors in the lobby.
After you get the syringe and 4 collectibles, return to your prison cell, interact with the loose rock on the left wall to hide the syringe. Then interact with the bed and go to bed:
Next video with Laura:
- Honesty "I won't leave Max"
- Confidence "Let us go and we will bring help"
- Don't pick up a weapon (DO NOT press X )
- Puzzled "Why didn't you kill him?"

QTE (when Travis checks on Laura in her cell and she is using a syringe): Left > this will cause Laura to squirt Travis into sleep without killing him. (Note: if you hadn't taken/hidden the syringe, Lori would have had to steal his gun, in which case you will definitely successfully complete the QTE with the gun and not shoot Travis. Shooting Travis with the gun will injure him and cause he automatically kills Laura in chapter 9 as revenge).
- Excitement "First you need to kill Chris"
- Reassurance “They are probably all right”

After that, you will receive another video with Jacob:
- Prayer "Please let me go"
Chapter 8
First video as Ryan and Laura:
- Uncertainty "Caitlin, what should I do?"
- Curiosity "Did you hear a woman cry?"
- Suspicion "What are you doing?"
- Caution “How should I know?”
- Empathy "Maybe there's another way"
- Friendliness "Chris has nothing to do with it"
- Curiosity “Have you ever been there?”

Next, you will control Laura in a cave where there are 5 collectibles??ionization:
- Camp Hackett Clue #11: Quarry tools. When you control Laura, look for tools on the stairs.
- Camp Hackett Clue #12: Miner's Lunch - Don't go up the stairs just yet. From the previous point, turn around and go to the end of the cave to find a crate.
- Tarot number 15: Lovers. Now go up the stairs, move forward until you see two more cutscenes, and then go to the next part of the cave. Then go to the very left edge to see a railing with a tarot card. For now, stay away from the metal stairs leading to the end of the straight path.
- Evidence #8: Wounded Flesh - Now head towards the metal stairs to trigger a cutscene. During QTE, press right. After reaching the top of the stairs, look for an item on the ground.
- Tarot #16: Wheel of Fortune. Continue moving through the cave until you see a cutscene. Select Patience, then press X to perform the action. After you find yourself in the tunnel, you will automatically see the Tarot.
After the Tarot, go to the tunnel exit. In the next room to the right of the door, there is another optional interactive item (no consequences). Then interact with the door to trigger a cutscene.
Next moment as Caitlin:
- Honesty "It's because of me..."
- Encouragement "I need you"
After that you will control Ryanwith Laura in the basement of the Hacketts' house. There are 3 collectibles here:
- Tarot #14: The Empress - Right after the start, when Ryan turns left and enters a side room, go around the room to find the Tarot.
- Hackett Camp Clue #13: Rum Distiller - same room, interact with the distillery.
- Tarot #17: The Emperor - Go back to where you started and follow the straight tunnel and you will see the card as you near the end. Don't go into the red tunnel!
On the right there is another optional interactive item (shelf cover). After collecting all 3 items, approach the tunnel with a red light in it to trigger another cut-scene:
- QTE: Down
- Do not open the cage (DO NOT press X )
- Stop Laura X > This is important, if you don't stop her, she will shoot the monster in the cage (it's Nick, the guy who turned into a monster earlier)
- Help Jacob (important, otherwise he will be killed at the end of chapter 9)
- Choose switches 1+2
- go on
- Choose 2+3 > Jacob is released from the cage (thus saving him from death later)
Chapter 9
During the first cutscene with Dylan and Caitlin:
- POSITIVE "I think it's something unique"
- CURIOUS: "Do you think we missed?"
During the next cutscene with Abigail and Emma:
- CURIOUS "Why are you so positive?"
- CURIOUS: "YouIs that why you're filming a video?
During the next cutscene as Laura and Ryan:
When the old woman and Laura are fighting for a weapon, smash an X to shoot her (Constance Hackett is killed - remember we need to kill all the Hacketts to get the trophy :silver : Family Matters - they are our enemies and won't invalidate Everyone Survives). "still won't save them all. We'll kill all the Hackets to maximize our trophies in this playthrough.)
- QTE: Right
- (Ryan gets stabbed at this point, but that's normal and won't kill him, don't worry about it)
- Interrupt : DO NOT "Pull knife" (DO NOT press X ) > knife is important for later
Now you can walk like Ryan. There are 2 collectibles in the room where you start:
- Evidence #9: Kaylie's Letter - From where you start on the right side of the cabinet.
- Tarot #18: Death. From the last item, walk diagonally across the room to the bed to reveal the Tarot.
Then interact with the closet on the right (there is an opportunity to hide in it later) and check the bed in the middle. The right door is locked. To move forward, interact with the left door, which brings up a series of options:
- HIDE
- IN THE CLOSET (only available if you've explored the closet before)

The next room Laura enters has a piano and blue wallpaper. There are 3 collectibles here:
- Camp Hackett Clue #15: Hunting Trophy Wall - Check the wall at the bottom of the stairs.
- Camp Hackett Clue #16: Hackett Family Tree - Go upstairs to the office in the corner.
- Tarot #19: The Sun - Upstairs in the 2nd room, go to the window to see it (don't go to the door until you grab it)
After finding all these items, you can approach the door. Choose from the following:
- QTE: Left > Left > Left
- ATTACK
- Smash X > Kills Jedi Hackett.
Next scene as Ryan:
- QTE: Left
- QTE: Right
- Breath Hold Event: Hold X (Release when the screen stops flashing red when about 40% of breath is left, don't wait any longer or the big guy will be back)
- Interrupt : STAB X > it's important that you stab Bobby Hackett (big guy) to die at the end of chapter 9. This is the only way to kill him to get the :silver : Family Matters trophy. He will not die instantly, it will happen later automatically as a consequence.
- CUTE "It's not your fault..."
- ACCEPT (is it important for survival??vania Ryan)
- Interrupt : DO NOT pull (DO NOT press X)
In the next scene, you will be walking around as Dylan and Caitlin in the junkyard. There are 3 collectibles here:
- Camp Hackett Clue #14: Scrapyard Note - In the garage on the right, upstairs, at the end of the passage (there is another clue upstairs that isn't considered a collectible)
- Tarot number 20: Justice. Head back down to the garage, press the button on the table to open the gate to the next section of the junkyard. Keep going straight until you reach a metal ladder leading to the roof of the container, then go through the roof of the container to see the Taro. DO NOT GO TO THE YELLOW CRANE YET! THIS AND THE NEXT COLLECTIBLE WILL BE SKIP IF YOU GO TO THE YELLOW FAUCET, MAKE A MANUAL BACKUP TO BE SAFE HERE!
- Traveling Circus Fire Clue #8: Discarded Signs - From the top of the container where you got the Tarot, there are two metal stairs leading down the other side. Go down one of these stairs, at the bottom between both stairs there is a sign with green paint, inspect it. DO NOT GO TO THE YELLOW CRANE YET!
After collecting all 3 collectibles, you can approach the yellow crane. This triggers a cutscene with an additional choice:
- "Watch my back" REWARD
- CAITLEEN'S WARNING
- QTE: Up
- SOUNDOW HORN
- Break the X to fight off the monster (if you fail, Dylan dies, so don't screw it up)
- QTE: Left
- Smash X
Next, you will play as Abigail and will be able to walk around the dark basement of the bunker. There is 1 collectible here:
- Tarot #21: The Hierophant - Once you start walking as Ebi, head towards the stairs on the right side to see this.
Then go to the left side (directly opposite the stairs with the tarot card), there is an illuminated area with a fuse box on the wall. Examine the fuse box, Abi finds silver projectiles on it, which will come in handy soon (do not go up the stairs to the left until you pick it up).
Once you've done that, you can go up the stairs on the left.
Next scene as Laura in the attic of Hackett's house:
- Go straight ahead to trigger two cutscenes.
- At this point, Laura turns into a monster. This is normal, it always happens, and it cannot be avoided no matter what choice you have made up to this point. It doesn't kill her, she's not considered dead.
- Bobby Hackett is killed by a monster (required for the :silver : Family Matters trophy, he is one of our enemies from the Hacket family, they should all die and not invalidate the "Everyone Survived" trophy, his death is the result we want to maximize) our trophies in this run)
- SHOOT the Monster atshotgun aiming (Chris Hackett killed) > if you fail this mission, Ryan dies, which we don't want.
- Laura is back to normal, we broke her curse by killing Chris Hackett. Travis puts away the silver mirror blade and doesn't kill Laura because we were kind to him before and Laura didn't shoot him in his cell. If Laura had shot him in the chapter 7 prison cell, then Travis would have automatically stabbed Laura at that moment. Then you will have to replay the entire chapter 7.
- SUSPICIOUS "Why should I trust you?"
This is where the chapter ends.
During the interlude with the old woman, if you find Tarot #21: The Hierophant, you will receive a special flashback scene. During this scene:
Chapter 10
If you followed the instructions and killed Chris Hackett (in his monster form) you have broken Max's curse and started chapter 10 as Max.
There are no collectibles here like Max has, but there are a few clues (no consequences from them). To the right of where you start, there is a bonfire. Follow the path to find a pink cap. Go to the docks to trigger the cutscene, select this:
- STAY (very important, if you "swim to shore" Max will die)
Next, you will play as Caitlin in the lodge, there are 6 collectibles here:
- Camp Hackett Clue #12: Camp Letter - go upup the first stairs on the right, then turn left and enter the bedroom, check the paper on the floor.
- Tarot #22: The High Priestess - Exit the bedroom and go up the stairs next to the bedroom door, walk across the top floor to see the Tarot.
- Camp Hackett Clue #19: Ancestral Portrait - Go back one floor down (the floor where the bedroom is), then go to the other side of this floor, halfway to the other side you will find a portrait on the wall. Examine it and select "KEEP SEARCH" (important, otherwise you will miss the next 3 collectibles).
- Hackett Camp Clue #17: Chalkboard Scribble - From the portrait, get to the other end of this floor and enter the classroom, check the blackboard.
- Camp Hackett Clue #18: Inscribed Jewels - Exit the classroom and go upstairs, check the couch upstairs.
- Evidence #10: Footprint camera footage - in the same place as the last clue (above), check the boxes on the side.
There are a bunch of extra interactive elements around the house, but they don't make any difference. Once you've collected all the collectibles, you can return to the collectible portrait at the top and select PREPARE TO ATTACK. This will trigger a final showdown, select the following:
- RUN
- RAY
- Smash X
- RUN
- INVESTIGATION (only if Abi/Emmbut alive and picked up silver shells in the bunker of chapter 9)
- SHOOT (R2)
The next cutscene is when Laura is in the car with Ryan and Travis:
- CURIOUS "What exactly happened 6 years ago?"
- QTE right
- GRAB PISTOL
- COVER
- QTE: Down
- DECISION "Let's fucking do it"
- GIVE RYAN
- CONSIDERATION "Who was she?"
- Brooding "That's why you hunted him"
- PRESS "Raise Gun" on the Silas monster (DO NOT press X)/
- FAIL THE QTE (DO NOT PRESS RIGHT) > results in Travis Hackett being killed - he is the last Hackett we need for :silver : Family Matters (trophy unlocked after completing the story) - if you succeed in the QTE then either Silas will kill Laura or Travis will survive, QTE failure is important
- SHOOTING THE SILAS MONSTER when you point your gun at him (Press R2) > this is important or he will kill Laura.
END .
Epilogue
Just let the rest of the cutscenes play out, at the end you will see summaries of those who have died and who have survived.
In preparation for the next playthrough of the chapter, take a moment to open the collectibles menu and note what you're missing before the final cutscenes run out. Unable to check collectibles on the title screen.
If you completed all the steps, you will receive :gold : Everyone Survived (all playable characters survived) and :silver: Family Matters (killing allex Hacketts).
If you didn't miss any of the collectibles in this playthrough, you only need Tarot #3, Evidence #3, Fire Freakshow #9.
At this point, it is recommended that you back up your save manually. This is just a precaution, so you have a game save ready to go back to. On PS4/PS5: Go to Console Settings > Manage Saved Data > PS4/PS5 Saved Data > Copy to USB (PS4 only) or PS+ Cloud (PS4/PS5). On PC you can go to C: Drive > Users > Your username > AppData > Local > TheQuarry > Saved > Copy and paste this to another folder so you can copy it later.
WARNING: ALL COLLECTIBLE PROGRESS IS RESET WHEN YOU START A NEW GAME! YOU MUST USE CHAPTER SELECT TO GET THE MISSING COLLECTION ITEMS! WHEN USING CHAPTER SELECT, YOU MUST PLAY ALL CHAPTERS FROM THIS POINT TO THE END OF THE GAME TO UNLOCK CHAPTER SELECT AGAIN.
