Passage of Somerville

Chapter 1

The opening chapter of the game is basically the part where you see the car moving down the road and eventually parked in front of the house.


A young man enters the house with his wife, child and dog.

First you will start the game with a boy.


If you're playing on PC with Game Pass or Steam, you'll need to use a controller or you won't be able to move. If you don't have an XBox controller, you can also use a Playstation controller. Personally, I use a PS5 controller.

Interact with "A" on XBox or "Square" on a PS controller.

Playing as the boy, move to the left side of the house where the entrance is. Take the toy from the table and step back to unplug the charger.


The toy will glow. Return to the living room and go to the green box. The boy drops the toy.

Grab the green handle of the bag and pull it down.


Go into the room on the right.

There are two drawers that can be pulled out. Use them as stepping stones to climb onto the kitchen table and approach the window where the purple light is on.


You can probably open the window and the boy will sit down. At this point, you must move until the boy falls into the basket.

The mother wakes up and grabs the boy.


Now you will play as a husband. Go to the entrance and go outside.

The dog will bark asking you to open the dog house door.

Sd?bark it and the dog will grab the food bowl.

Enter the house and go into the room on the right side. Open the door in the middle.


You will reach the basement. Take dog food.

The aliens will attack as soon as you bring the dog food into the kitchen.

Get outside to see what's going on.

Return to the kitchen while the wife prepares to leave. Take the bag on the kitchen table.

Run out of the house again to head towards the car, but the alien pod will crash into the garage and destroy the car.

Return to the house and to the basement. At the end of the chapter, touch the stranger's hand.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2 of Somerville begins with a man lying on the ground after being touched by an alien.

To revive him, hold LT or L2 three times until you see his right arm glow.

Once up, go to the left side and you will hear a sound.

Now go right and hold the board. Move the board.

You will see a light bulb. Use your special ability (LT or L2) and hold it so it turns light blue. Wait for him to destroy the alien substance.

Climb up and open the tree blocking the path.

Use the light bulb and the opportunity to open the path to the left.

In the next room, do the same to destroy the alien contraption.

Then hold and lower the cabinet. Use it to get out of the house.

Now youyou will be outside. Go to the wooden gate to exit.

Continue moving to the left. Use your abilities on the circuit breaker to turn on the blue light and clear the path.

Keep walking forward and you will see an alien cube following you. Open the gate and move to the left.

The alien cube can melt alien substances.

Use your ability again to make all the lights northern blue, but I'm not sure what it's for. You still need to move to the left side.

Climb over the wooden fence.

Keep going left.

You will reach the railway track. Continue moving to the left.

Chapter 3

Now this is the third chapter of Somerville. You will be in the forest.

Make your way to the left.

At the next checkpoint, you will need to run from the pink alien light.

Just keep running.

In the end, you will need to hide inside the tent. The tent stands right in front of a wooden fence. Once the lights go out, you can cross the fence.

Then you will reach the plane. Here you need to use the ability of the circuit breaker to turn on the blue light. However, this will cause the alien pillar to crush you.

To prevent this, hold the pole and pull it so that the light is directed upwards, and use your ability, h??oby first to destroy the upper part. Then push it back and destroy the bottom of the pillar.

You can go through the plane.

In the next area, jump into the pool of alien matter. Climb up near the fallen tree.

Use the tree to jump.

You will reach a place where you can go north through the bark of a tree.

You will see a group of alien cubes, but there is not much to do here.

Exit back and go left.

You will reach the docks. Enter the water and then climb onto the dock.

Pull the pole that is connected to the boat.

Then jump into the water and immediately hide behind the boat.

Hold the boat by the ropes and drag it across the river to avoid being killed by the pink light.

In the next area, the goal is to clear the alien substance blocking your path.

To do this, go to the well and pull the lever to raise the bucket.

Take the bucket and pull it towards the alien substance in the water.

Drop the bucket and return to the well.

You'll need to pull a lever to get the bucket back to you, and along the way, some sort of alien substance should spill out of the bucket. If the bucket loses all alien matter before it gets close to you, then the alien cubes won't fit you.

Keep trying until they get close to you so that their light will destroy the alien substance, block??her cave.

Enter the cave and open the door.

Keep walking forward outside. Go to the top of the hill.

Then you will get a better view of the world.

Go left and go to the highway where you will see a car graveyard. The chapter ends here.

Chapter 4

You will start in the Vehicle Graveyard. Approach the overturned vehicle and lower it. Jump on it and jump over.

Open the van door and go through it.

Go through the sign and go down. Go left as usual.

You will see a man in a car. Go to him.

The car will be destroyed by the alien. Walk left. Use the ability on the track to get rid of the obstacle.

In the next area, run inside the tent to avoid the pink light.

After the lights go out, exit the tent on the left side.

In the next part, you will see a light bulb. Take it and destroy the obstacle.

Move the bulb to the alien substance and use your ability to destroy it.

Then you will get another longer cable with a light source. Use it to destroy the alien substance on the north side.

Then go to the long object and push it down. It needs to be either pulled or pushed to get it down.

Now that it forms a bridge, take the cable with you, useusing the bridge so you can reach the alien obstacle on the far side.

Destroy it, and then climb onto the roof of the car.

In the next area, turn on the generator.

Then take the cables from the car and connect them to the front of the car. Use your ability to turn car lights blue.

Go on. The next area will have a pink light glowing all the time. Walk under it using the shadow.

Then climb onto the roof of the car and run to the portable toilet.

Wait until the light disappears and then go left.

In the next part, open the fence and you will see an alien cube inside it. Not sure what he does.

Keep moving to the left. The pink light is still shining here. Push the debris to open a gap through which you can go.

Enter the tent and you will see an alien inside with a red light. Avoid the red light or you will be killed immediately. Move behind the obstacles when the light disappears.

Exit the tent and you will reach another area with a pink light.

Use umbrella awnings as a shield.

Your goal is to get to the generator near the platform on the left. Turn it on.

The shutters will drop. Enter the zone when it is safe to do so.

Keep walking along the path. Move the trash can away.

You will reach another area with light bulbs.

Carry the pole that connects the light bulbs and bring it to alien substances.

Use your ability while holding the pole to open a path. Climb up the stairs.

Make your way to the top.

Then turn on the electricity lever.

Go back down and use your ability to melt the alien obstacles.

Go left and left, you will be able to jump and slide down.

Open the portable toilet that moves and you will free the alien cubes.

Now go to the stage. First turn on the generator.

Using the generator, use your ability to destroy some of the alien stuff.

You will then see that the red cable can now be grabbed. Bring it to a device that is movable. Connect it.

Use your abilities and pull the device to destroy all obstacles.

Then you will reach the stage. Spin the wheel to open the door.

In the next area, take the red cable and return it.

Connect the red cable to the red port on the stage.

Then use the lever and it works like an elevator. Click on the elevator to go up.

Climb the ladder and eventually you will reach the top.

Jump on the UFO. Pull all the levers to make the UFO descend.

Now push the UFO towards the exit.

Connect the red cable to the UFO. Push the UFO and oneUse your abilities quickly to melt obstacles.

After the UFO crash, run away when the chase scene starts.

Keep running away from the alien and another strange character will save you.

Go to the big gate and wait for the big guy to help you open it.

This part requires his help for all the gates.

At the end, you will fall down with the big guy, and this will end the chapter.

Chapter 5

Chapter 5 begins in the underground part of Somerville. Move down.

Go all the way down and follow the alien water down.

In the end, you will meet a strange man who saved you from falling, but he died. Touch his hand and he will explode.

Walk back and go to the right side.

Open the chest and take the new device. This will be your second ability and the controls are RT on XBox or R2 on Playstation.

You will also receive a torch for this area.

Now return to the left side. Use RT/R2 while holding and releasing it. This will cause the water to become solid. This only works with alien matter.

Climb up the already hard water.

On the way up, use RT again to solidify the water on the left side. Go there.

Eventually you will reach the rock. Jump into the water below and get ready to use LT/L2.

Go left and pop up before you die.

After getting some air, dive down and go left again. Use LT when needed.

Swim to the left and use LT to melt the alien stuff. Climb up from the middle and keep melting the substances until you find a new path.

Go to the left railroad tracks.

In the next area, go up the stairs.

Before you can go up, you will see an alien robot. Go down one ladder and go left.

Eventually you will reach wooden boards that can be removed. Enter a new path.

Go inside and go up the stairs.

Then you must reach the area with the cart. Pull out the mining cart and push it towards the ledge.

Push him down and he will break the wooden platform below, revealing water. Jump into the water.

Swim as fast as you can to the left until you can surface.

In the next area, turn the wheel so that the platform approaches the liquid alien contraption.

Then, while holding the wheel, use RT to freeze the liquid.

Raise the platform where the alien matter is now. Then you can go to the other side.

In the next part, pull back the cart and enter the tunnel.

Open the drawer and take the torch. Now use LT/L2 to melt the alien stuffyours. They will make the water level rise and you just have to let it push you all the way.

At some point, you will see some rocks above you. Melt them enough to make them fall, but you need to quickly dive into the water to avoid them falling.

Continue to the end.

Now head to the left and use RT to freeze a small layer of liquid matter. You should be able to climb the frozen part to the upper level.

Head left.

You will then see a switch and a wheel connected to a heavy object. Turn on the switch first.

Then go right to get the cart. Pull it up to the dripping alien water substance to fill up the mine cart.

Bring the trolley to the wheel. Turn the wheel so that the heavy object connected to the cable enters the mine cart, but don't turn too hard or it will slide out again.

Now approach the switch and use RT/R2 to freeze the heavy item inside the cart.

Push the cart to the right and the door will open.

Go through the door and up the stairs to the next area.

Chapter 6

You will now reach Chapter 6 of the game.

Go to the switch and turn it on to turn on the light.

Press the red button to open the shutter.

Pull the mine cart onto the circle. Push the lever to ?The cart has changed direction.

Now push the cart towards the door on the left. Climb up the stairs and use the cart as a platform to get outside.

In the next area, press the button to open the shutter and get a cart.

Rotate the lever so that the tracks match up. Now push the cart down.

He must break the gate.

Then you will reach the second gate. Pull the cart up and push down again.

Turn the lever to change the direction of the cart.

Push the cart all the way and you will see an alien robot with a red light. Approach the cart from the side and pull it to avoid detection.

Use the ladder to go down.

Don't forget to pull the cart towards you.

Keep pushing the cart down so it breaks the gate.

In the next area, you must avoid detection again. Run towards every obstacle until the light is directed at you.

Then you will reach the switch. Use RT/R2 on the switch to freeze the robot.

Pass by the robot and go to the elevator. Use the button to call the elevator and wait for it.

When he is here, open the door, enter and activate it.

You will now reach a small chase sequence. Go left and run up.

You will need to open the van door to get through.

Finally, will you leave the region??, and you will be pushed by a stream of water to the very end. The chapter ends here.

Chapter 7

At the beginning of Chapter 7, you will be reunited with your dog, who is waiting for you in the city by the river.

All you have to do is go all the way to the end.

Go to the green building at the end of the street and the main character will faint.

Chapter 8

Chapter 8 Somerville begins when you wake up in a human settlement.

Go to the green door to exit.

Here, keep going to the right, passing by the remaining people. At the end you will see a priest.

Climb up a bit and then turn left to continue forward.

If you go all the way to the left, you will see a door that is highlighted in green. Move the cart.

Inside the room you will find one of the alien cubes. Go back.

Now go all the way to the right.

Through several areas, you will eventually reach a brightly colored tent. Get there and a cutscene will play.

The protagonist will be reunited with his wife and child.

Now go back to the left side and wait for the guy to open the door to the infirmary.

After a while, come back and go left again. This time, wait for the door to open and it will take you to the shop.

Open the door.

In the store, pull up the obstacle blocking you.

Then the wife will give medicine, and now the protagonist will be able to hoeat faster.

Raise the barrier in front of you and go left.

Follow the path and you will eventually reach an exit that is blocked by an alien substance. Look to the left and the wife will take the torch.

Interact with your wife to join hands. This will allow you to use your LT/L2 ability with her torch. Melt the substances and open the exit door.

The chapter ends here.
