Walkthrough Layers of Fear: Inheritance

Get down to the basement until the ghosts attack you. Go back upstairs and go to the utility room with mousetraps. The door is on the right side of the stairs to the second floor. Pick up and review the drawing of a girl with mousetraps on the floor .


Exit and go to the kitchen. Do you remember where she is? Approach the far door to trigger another memory. Open the door to the kitchen utility room and remove another drawing from the wall, in which the father holds the dog next to the crying girl .

Rise to the second floor and iditol to the right, along the narrow corridor. There will be a door ahead (there is another one on the right). Three steps from the far door is a pedestal. On the cabinet, find a drawing with a girl looking at the door .


The door in front will be closed, but you can enter the room through the door located on the right hand, 2-3 steps from the cabinet itself. Approach the gramophone and inspect it to trigger a memory. Turn around from the bed and open the platinum cabinet. Inside you will find a drawing of a mother on the bed, a standing father and a girl hiding in the closet .

Now go to the left side of the stairs, through the open doorway to get into the office (library). Approach the table near the fireplace, over which the picture hangs. The memory will start.

This time you control a little girl who can't really get anywhere. Go left and open the door to enter the corridor. Go through another door. Locked up. Turn around and try to go back, but for some reason this door will also be locked. Try a second time to go through the door behind you. Good luck this time!


Examine the notes on the piano, and then click on the keys themselves. Play until you hear the voice of an angry father. Repeat until mom tells the girl to bring her crayons. Looking at the piano, turn right, walk forward and turn right. on the right hand there will be a cabinet with two doors. Open the left door and take out the box of crayons. Return to the piano and you will see that the sheet with the notes now shows multi-colored figures. In addition, the keys on the piano are painted in the same colors. Play the melody according to the note on the sheet.

In this game, you play as the daughter of a distraught artist. You have to explore the same house, explore every room and make the right choice. We will talk about moral choices, collectible drawings and endings in detail in our walkthrough of Layers of Fear: Inheritance.


When you enter the house, turn on the lantern. To do this, press the F key. Go to the lobby of the first floor.

First floor

There are several rooms here, namely (from left to right) - a workshop, a basement, a utility room under the stairs, a bathroom and a kitchen with its own utility room. In addition to the bathroom, you will need to visit everywhere.


Workshop

Enter the room, approach the wall on the left. The memory will start. You will need to apply paint on the easel in the correct sequence. First apply the brush on the left side. If you used the crayon that was on the cabinet to the right of the easel, then find the brush behind it.

Next, apply the following colors - green, red, blue and yellow. When you look for blue paint, then move to the end of the corridor. After the illusions, you will find yourself in a corridor with toys. Push the huge ball up to get to the window sill with blue paint. After the memory, take the first drawing lying on the pedestal against the wall in the workshop.

Basement

Go to the basement located next to the workshop. Go to the end to start the memory.

CHOICE . You will see your father playing the piano. There are two options:

  • Approach him, but you will be thrown aside. You will piss off your father!
  • On the left side of the passage leading to the father, there are notes on a stand. Take them away. Father will remember the melody. You help your father!

After the memory, find a stack of newspapers in the basement and take the second drawing from it.

Utility room under the stairs

Go to the room under the stairs and you will see a lot of mousetraps. The memory will start.

CHOICE . You will find yourself in the back room and hear how the father runs to kill rodents. There are two options:

  • Don't do anything. The rodents will be killed.
  • Push the bolt on the door. You will save the mice.

After the memory from the floor, pick up the third drawing .

Kitchen

Go to the kitchen on the right side of the house, go to the far door and the memory will start.

CHOICE . You are standing in front of the utility room in the kitchen. The father wants to beat the dog locked inside. There are two options:

  • Don't do anything. The dog will be beaten, and the girl will cry.
  • Open the door. The dog will run away and everyone will be happy.

After the memory, go to the back room and remove the fourth drawing from the wall.

Second floor

Rise to the second floor. There are other important rooms here - the locked door (the last room where the game will be completed), the mother's bedroom, the children's room, the room with the portraits of the wife and the study.

mother's bedroom

From the stairs, go right and enter the bedroom. Approach the gramophone to start the memory.

CHOICE . So mom calls for help. She's in a lot of pain. There are two options:

  • Nothing to do. Then the mother will get angry and curse the girl.
  • Click on the record on the gramophone to turn on the music. Mom will calm down. You will help her.

After the memory ends, open the closet opposite the bed, next to the front door, and take the fifth drawing from there.

Children's room

Turn to the left from the stairs to move in a parallel reverse direction. Go through the white door and approach the painting hanging on the far wall. The memory will begin.

There is no choice here. Just look at the easel next to which is the father. When your gaze leaves, then return it with the mouse. When the memory ends, then pick up the sixth drawing from the floor.

Room with portraits of his wife

You can enter the room next to the children's room. But initially you will not find a drawing here. In order for him to appear here, return to the stairs, but stay on the second floor. Do you see a sofa opposite the stairs, by the window? Approach it and walk nearby to trigger a memory.

CHOICE . The dog is on the sofa. You hear the voice of the father, who hopes to find him there and hit the animal. You have two options:

  • Nothing to do. The father will get angry and chase the dog away.
  • Click on the dog to drive it away. The father will not see the dog on the chair, but he will notice his daughter. Will be extremely pleased, no anger.

After that, return to the room with portraits and in the right corner, closest to the front door, find the seventh picture .

Eighth figure

Go towards the locked door on the second floor (near the mother's bedroom) and pick up the eighth drawing , lying on the cabinet on the left.

Study

Go to this office. This is the last, longest memory.

Here you have to make three choices. You will need to go either to the left (image of the mother) or to the right (image of the father).

If you walk to the left, you will find out that in fact it was the father who was cruel, and the mother was the victim of his madness. If you choose options with right doors, you will find out that the father, on the contrary, tried to help his wife after that terrible tragedy.

One way or another, the sequence of actions will be the same.

In the first room there will be a piano. Play on it. The father will be angry. Wait until mom asks for crayons. Find a locker in the center of the room. Open it and find a box of crayons inside. Go back to the piano and you will see figures appear on the notes. The same figures are on the keys of a musical instrument. Play the melody by successively clicking on the correct figures.

Move through several doors, turn left or right. By the way, the ending of the game will be identical, just you will hear different audio memories of your father and mother.

When the closet crashes in front of you, then go into the room on the left. On the right side, find the door and go further. When you find yourself at a dead end, turn in different directions, take a couple of steps back and hear a characteristic sound. There was a passage further.

Go there. You must get into the room, where on the left side there will be steps up. It's too early to get up.

Walk a little forward and find a cabinet near the table and chairs. Open the painted door and take away the first part of the drawing .

Go to the back and go down the stairs. Find a painting of a woman and knock it over to collect the second part of the drawing . When the table disappears, go down even lower.

Go around the fallen chandelier, approach the portrait on the wall and knock over the cabinet on the right. Wait a bit. The third part of the picture will fall on the cabinet. After taking it, go upstairs and open the door.

On the wall on the left you can see the same drawing put together.

Go through the door further. There is a cabinet here on the left side. Inside is a locked box. The key to it is in a red vase that you can knock over. So do it.

Move on until you see a sofa. After a series of falls, pick up either medicine (if you went in the direction of the father), or a broken bottle of alcohol (if you chose the direction of the mother).

Open the door ahead and pick up among the toys a picture of a missing cat. Move through the next door. Here you will need to repair a toy cat. Go to the table on the right. Climb up the chair on the small piano and go to the pedestal next to it. Look up at the closet. A red wheel can be seen on one of the shelves of the bookcase. Drop it, go down and pick up the wheel. Apply to a cat. Pick up the pipe next to it and insert the tail in place.

Follow the cat (cat) without retreating from it. When you are near the door, go through and you will find yourself in the room.

Either mom or dad will be shown here, depending on the decisions you make.

After the memory, take the ninth drawing .

SECRET

Go down to the workshop and approach the wall on the left. Click on it. All nine drawings will appear on the wall. Move them so that you get the image of a girl. If everything is done correctly, then the main character will let you know about it.

Now if you turn off the flashlight by pressing F, you will see the rat's head. Whether there is any other meaning in all this is still unknown.

ending

When you pass the last memory, you will be pointed to the previously locked door of the second floor. Go to this door, enter the room and watch the final cut-scene.
