The game begins with the creation of a new character. You will not be able to give it your name, and the appearance is selected from pre-created models. Next, select talents and attributes. Be sure to think about the direction in which you want to develop the hero.
As soon as the game starts, you will see the workshop. It can be used to upgrade weapons and armor. To do this, you will need to find crafting materials such as leather or metal. Crafting materials can be found randomly in the game, bought from a merchant, or obtained from scrapping unwanted items. The problem of upgrading weapons and armor through the workshop is again related to the choice of character class. Each class uses a specific weapon/armor, so you only need to upgrade items that your hero can use. However, during the introduction, you can play as a character of any class. The final choice will have to be made later!
In the training hall, you will learn about three character classes: Guardian, Rogue and Fighter.

The Guardian focuses on powerful attacks, moves slowly, and defends against incoming attacks with a shield. This class is bad at dodging. Worst choice if you have to fight moving bosses and large groups of enemies.
The Rogue is a more dynamic character, focusing on spinning attacks and dodges. A rogue's light weapons don't do much damage, but they attack quite quickly. In addition, a character of this class can kill enemies using firearms. Firearms can be modified and upgraded to increase efficiency.
A warrior or fighter equipped with a staff can effectively fight large groups of opponents, but cannot block incoming attacks. When it comes to fighting fighter against keeper, the former is more agile than the latter.
Your trainer's health can be seen on the left side of the screen. He cannot die, like any other companion in the game. You can destroy the first enemies with several attacks. Use two, three hits, and then push the enemy back with a shield or dodge (depending on the class), and then repeat the procedure. Search the corpses for useful items. You can also find them from chests of drawers, chests, decomposed corpses.
One of the useful items you can find on slain enemies is Serum, the game's currency used on Mars. Getting Serum from a defeated enemy, you kill him (usually enemies after your attacks simply lose consciousness). These kills affect the protagonist's karma, which affects how other characters, including your companions, see you. Taking Serum from monsters does not affect your karma in any way.
When you find yourself in a shelter, you will fight monsters. They die from one or three blows, do not attack in a crowd, but apart from Serum, nothing can be taken from their corpses. Use your lightning attacks. Since lightning attacks twice, if you kill one enemy with the first blow, then the second beam flies to another. Make your way through the hideout and jump into the oval arena where more monsters need to be destroyed.
At the end of the first quest, you will meet with the boss. The key to defeating this boss is to hit the heart of the beast. Please note that after the attack, the enemy in most cases will counterattack you. Thus, if you attack him with a melee weapon, then after each hit, dodge to the side once.
It is best to use firearms or lightning attacks, then wait for the enemy to counterattack, then quickly run up to him and land 2-3 melee attacks. After that, the opponent will get angry and start attacking furiously. If you're playing the Guardian class, then it will be difficult to dodge these attacks.
At the same time, small monsters that you encountered earlier will appear on the battlefield. If the enemy attacks in a rage, then he will destroy small opponents as well.
A quick way to end the fight is to use the staff and combos. Shoot lightning at the enemy's heart, then wait for his counterattack, get close and perform a combo. Jump back away from the enemy to then repeat the procedure. Use electricity on weapons, replenish your health.
