Below: where to find all helmets and what they give

In the Sandbox Below, the protagonist goes to explore randomly generated dungeons filled with darkness, dangerous creatures and other threats. To increase the chances of survival, you need to use any methods. As in any rogue-like game, you will return to the dungeons again and again, trying to pass new floors and explore any features of this place. In Below, this is very difficult to do, and the game does not really explain even what many of the items found give. Helmets, hats, skulls are headwear available to the hero. You can find them in the dungeon. Each gives a certain bonus. This could be damage reduction, lighting up dark rooms, buffing arrows, or extra warmth in cold areas. Below are all the hats you can find:
  1. Crystal skull. Gives your character the ability to light their way. It works by analogy with a flashlight, allows you to detect nearby traps. Now you can explore the dungeon without using the lantern. Look for him on the third floor. Can be bought from the vendor for 80 crystals. Look behind the stone barrier, which requires 200 more crystals to unlock.
  2. Dark helmet. Generally reduces damage taken and reduces damage from dark tentacles that spawn on the tenth floor or later. Look for a merchant on the seventh floor. He sells the helmet for 80 crystals.
  3. Fang skull. Allows you to reflect damage taken from enemy attacks back at your opponents. Look on the ninth floor for a large room guarded by the undead. move down to find an altar with this skull.
  4. Horned skull. Currently, the bonus from it is unknown. Search on the third floor, behind a door with a strange image. Hit the corresponding symbol on the floor with the Storm Hammer to open this door.
  5. Iris helmet. Your character will deal increased damage with arrows. Look on the tenth floor. You need to unlock a short path from the tenth floor back to the starting point. Near the elevator is a chest with a skull.
  6. Current (Toque). Provides the main character with warmth. Useful on floors with severe frosts. Can stack with armor. Look on the fourth floor. In a cold room, look for a room with strange marks on the walls. Break through the barrier using bombs or arrows.
  7. Helmet of the Void. Sucks in nearby crystals. You will not need to approach each of them closely. An excellent option, starting from the tenth floor. Look for the helmet on floors 15-16. Deep in the darkness, find a completely black room with strange rocks and red markings. Go through two barriers to get to the helmet.
