Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a sequel to the original Black Ops

The dataminers who studied the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone files after the August 24th update found out about this. Activision has long been open about the fact that the new part of the franchise is called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and is directly related to the Black Ops series. However, as it turned out, the description of the game states that Cold War is a sequel to the original Black Ops. That is, all other games in the series do not count.

Here's the official synopsis:

The iconic Black Ops series returns with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, a direct sequel to the original and fan- favorite Call of Duty: Black Ops. Black Ops Cold War will take players to the heart of the Cold War of the 1980s. Players will come face to face with historical figures and harsh truths as they fight all over the world, including East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, the headquarters of the Soviet KGB and so on.

Also found in the files of Modern Warfare and Warzone was a video related to the announcement of a new operative, Woodsfrom Black Ops. Apparently, everyone who pre-ordered the game will receive this character.
