War Thunder's biggest expansion ever

Now War Thunder uses the new version 6.0 Dagor engine, which makes the game look much better on all platforms, while on PS5 and Xbox Series X it runs at 4K@60FPS, and on PC it supports DLSS technology for RTX series video cards. In addition, battleships, VTOL aircraft and other new weapons, such as the T-90A and Leclerc S2 tanks, are now available to fans of military equipment.

Visual changes are the first thing that catches your eye in the updated game. The War Thunder engine can simulate visually realistic effects of the sky, various types of clouds, fog, and scattered sunlight. It can even render a sunset on Mars or a nuclear bomb explosion if required. The game has improved the effects of shots and explosions, as well as the physics of fires and the destruction of air equipment. Finally, on tanks, in places where shells hit, physically correct armor dents appear, and in some cases the shell can even get stuck in the armor.

Battlecruisers and battleships appeared in War Thunder, for example, such as the Empress Maria, one of the first dreadnought battleships that entered service with the Russian Empire.before the start of the First World War. Other nations received similar warships - Great Britain, the USA, Germany and Japan. In addition, the fleet in the game is now divided into small and large, so that new players can start not with torpedo boats, but immediately with destroyers to upgrade to the largest ships faster.

Another novelty is vertical takeoff aircraft of the Harrier and Yak-38 families. Such machines are equipped with a unique power plant with a deflectable thrust vector, which pilots can manually adjust. By adjusting the angle of rotation of the jet nozzles in the air, pilots can change the flight characteristics of the machine - for example, to perform sharper maneuvers. You can also hover in place and attack like a helicopter or hide behind folds in the terrain at low altitude. Also in War Thunder, aircraft carriers suitable for such vehicles appeared - HMS Ark Royal and USS Forrestal, as well as the Soviet aircraft-carrying cruiser Baku.

Fans of ground vehicles received the long-awaited T-90A tank with the Shtora complex - a system for warning about radiation and jamming ATGM guidance systems. Visually, the two IR illuminators “Curtains” resemble huge eyes, by which the T-90A is well identified in the photo. Other nations also received interesting modern armored vehicles - the American armored fighting vehicle M1128 Stryker MGS, nthe German tank Leopard 2A6 with a new powerful gun and the French Leclerc S2.

New Force introduces many new features, from an interactive hangar to lighting projectiles in night battles. For example, War Thunder introduces a battle pass, a system that allows you to earn prizes for actively participating in battles and completing daily and seasonal tasks. Among the awards are not only camouflages and decorators, but also premium vehicles, such as the American F2G aircraft and the Soviet T-10A tank. Vehicles earned with the Battle Pass can be used by yourself or sold to other players through the exchange.
