Backward compatibility on PS5 will work for more than just games from the PSN Digital Library
The rumor that it will be possible to run physical copies of games on the PlayStation 5 has been confirmed. A Sony representative in an interview with the Japanese edition of Gamespark said that almost all games from discs are suitable for launching on a new generation console.
Recall that rumors about backward compatibility have been circulating since the first announcement of the PlayStation 5, but so far Sony has kept this information secret. At least earlier this year, the company said it was already testing several thousand PS4 games for backwards compatibility with the PS5.
