Even though you are asked to find five crabs, you can only find three of them, and then return to the quest giver and complete the task. Therefore, below is the location of three of them:

Down the beach, around the corner from the boat dock.
Moves along the bottom of the stairs leading down to the beach.
On the northeast beach, often roams near the water.
