Where to recruit new companions in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Companions are important members of your Bannerlord squad. Below you will find out where to find them and how to make them members of the group.

In many small villages and settlements, you can recruit ordinary units. They are important because you have to fight a lot. The larger the squad , the more serious opponents you can destroy. However, satellites can be hired instead of units. And the benefits from them will be much greater than from conventional troops (even if they are pumped).

Before you can hire a companion, you need to get to a large city where there is a tavern. Usually these are settlements inside the fortress or near the castle. There are no taverns in small villages! As soon as you arrive in the city, go to its streets and get to the tavern. Get inside and hold the ALT key to see the names of any important characters in the area.

Talk to any character that is highlighted with the ALT key. This is the potential companion. You will learn their backstory, and after that you can hire them. Take your time and don't miss what the companion is talking about. Some of the stories are really interesting. After you pass the introduction, you will be asked to pay a certain amount. SpooTniks often hide behind the fact that they have some kind of outstanding debts. And if you extinguish them, they will gladly serve the main character. Pay and the companion will automatically join the squad!
