How to solve the mechanical cube puzzle on Watatsumi in Genshin Impact

While exploring Watatsumi Island in Genshin Impact 2.1, you may stumble upon a mechanical cube puzzle. It consists of several stages, and for the complete solution of each you will receive Source Stones, Electro Seals and other valuable resources. Location of Mechanical Cubes on Watatsumi

Explore the northeastern part of the island (upper right) from the Boro settlement. There you will find 8 mechanical cubes, but only four can be rotated. There is a diary nearby. Examine it for hints. There are three stages in solving this puzzle, and you won’t be able to complete them in one run, since access to each will be issued only after a certain time.

First Cube Puzzle on Watatsumi

In the screenshot below, you can see those cubes that need to be moved the specified number of times. You can do this in the order you wish. If you decide everything correctly, a rich chest with a reward will appear nearby. Wait a bit for the second part of the puzzle to appear. This will happen in 5-10 minutes. You can move to another region and so on. You can just close the game and start it again. By the way, by exiting the game, you can reset the solution to the current puzzle if you suddenly attacked the wrong cube.
