How to breach enemies in Honkai Star Rail

In Honkai: Star Rail, to quickly defeat enemies, you need to break through their vulnerability using the appropriate elements.

Elements and vulnerabilities

In total, there are 7 elements in the game: physical, fiery, ice, electric, wind, quantum and imaginary. Each enemy has a vulnerability to one or more elements. Above each opponent are icons of elements to which he has a weakness, a scale for the strength of the shield and remaining health.

The course of the battle is affected by the level of your character and the enemy, as well as the type of attack being dealt (normal strikes, individual skills and ultimates) and the element that is being damaged. Using an element that matches the vulnerability of the enemy, your character will be able to break through the shield faster.

Special piercing effect

In the characteristics of your character, pay attention to the item "Special penetration effect".

This indicator indicates how much additional damage you will inflict on the monster along with the hole in his Shield. You can see how much damage the enemy will take or what the delay will be. Each element at the moment of penetration of the vulnerability deals damage with??corresponding element, and also imposes an additional effect. The enemy becomes more vulnerable.

• Physical . Gives the Bleeding effect (physical damage for two turns).
• Fiery . Inflicts Burning (Fire damage over two turns.)
• Icy . Freeze Effect (Enemy receives frost damage for one turn and skips one action.
• Electric . Creates a status Shock (for two turns, strikes the enemy with electric damage.)
• Windmill . Wind Shear Effect (Deals wind damage over two turns.)
• Quantum . Increases the duration of quantum damage, also creates an Entanglement that delays the enemy's next action.
• imaginary . Creates an Imprisonment effect (reduces the opponent's speed and pushes them back in line for the next action.)

To improve the Special Effect of Penetration, you need to equip a full set of Thief of the Falling Meteor Relics by selecting the Connecting Ropes with the corresponding main attribute, also found in the additional characteristics.
