According to the story mission in Baldur's Gate 3, you have to go to the goblin camp to save a man named Halsin. Halsin is the first druid of the Emerald Grove, and he is critical to ending the ongoing conflict between the druids and tieflings in the grove. You are tasked with retrieving Halsin after he was apparently captured by some goblins during an expedition. In this guide, we'll show you exactly where to find the goblin camp and how to find Halsin once you're there.

Where to find Halsin in the goblin camp

If you are still in the Emerald Grove, you will need to head west. The path to the goblin camp is quite long, as it is located on the opposite side of the map from the grove.

If you head west from the Emerald Grove Outskirts waypoint, you will eventually reach a place called the Blighted Village , which is a city that has been overrun by goblins. This town is marked with red roofed buildings and is located to the northwest of the Roadside Cliffs waypoint, as shown in the screenshot below.

To get through the Dead Village, you need to sneak past the goblins, talk about leaving the battle, or just try to fight all of them. After passing the extinct village, keep going west until you reach the first part of the goblin camp. Then head north to reach the main part of the camp and the Goblin Camp waypoint.

At this waypoint, you need to head southwest until you reach a courtyard where goblins are roasting various animals and talking to each other. From here, head north and you'll find a giant ogre standing next to the big doors. Go through the doors and you will find yourself in the Shattered Sanctuary. To get further into the sanctuary, you need to make another dialogue check with the goblin guarding the entrance.

Once past, keep walking straight until you reach a large throne with a Priestess of the Gut. Just behind this throne, there will be a wooden bridge on the right that you can cross over. Cross the bridge and turn left to find three goblins near the door. Enter the door behind them and you will find yourself in the worg pens. Head down the stairs on the right side to find the goblin kids outside of the bear cage.

This bear is Halsin. He changed into this form to try and escape his goblin captors. Talk to the woman standing next to the children and you will have several options. You can force them to release the bear with intimidation, let them continue torturing the bear, or choose to fight. If you free Halsin from his cage, you have a few more options: attack the bear, attack the goblins, or leave the bear up to the goblins.

It is at this point that you need to make a choice. If you want Halsin to become your future companion and side with the druids of the Emerald Grove, choose the goblin attack. However, if you want to side with the goblins and potentially attack the Emerald Grove, then killing Halsin is the way to go. Or you can just leave both sides alone and see who comes out victorious.

Either way, you've found Halsin and will be able to progress through your questlines in Baldur's Gate 3.
