Moving through the mountain pass, go down to the cable car and get over to the other side. Having done this, you will be able to enter the ruins of a huge monastery in any way and go down to the basement of the main hall. Enter the githyanki nursery, get to the infirmary. If you cannot convince the local healer, she will run away and lock you up, and all the githyanki will turn against the detachment.
Then you need to get into the basement and meet with Vlaakith. It doesn't matter what you choose, as long as your Guardian is immortal anyway.
