Weapon selection in Blasphemous 2

Ultimately, you will be able to find all the weapons available in the game, but at first, it seemed to me that the mace of Verdicto would be the most useful. This is due to the numerous bells that you can only hit with this powerful weapon. Thanks to this, you will be able to save the first Cherubim earlier (whereas if you choose another weapon, you will have to return to them later, when you find Veridicto yourself).

On the other hand, sooner or later you will find absolutely all the weapons, including the starter kit. Ruego Al Alba is in the Crown of the Towers, Veredicto is in the Sacred Tombs, Sarmiento & Centella is in the palace.

You can easily overcome the first few hours with any of the three proposed types of weapons. However, there are some considerations to take into account:

1. I do not recommend taking Sarmiento and Centella as starting weapons. Rapiers attack quickly, but there are some problems. The first is low damage, so fights will last longer and you risk missing more hits as a result.
2. The second reason is to excel in the handling of rapiers, you will have to train the timing of parries and dodges to the ideal. For beginners, this will be difficult.
3. Finally, there are special enemies that are hellishly difficult to fight with light rapiers.

Remain Veredicto and Ruego al alba. You can take either of these two. Both have high damage, which is very important to start the game while you are low on health. Both weapons are an excellent choice for passing the first locations and bosses.

Bells aside, the Ruego al Alba is somewhat more unique than the others. If you do not choose this sword as your starting weapon, it will take a long time to pick it up. You will have to go through two unpleasant areas (Chorus of Thorns and Crown of Towers). But Veridicto is much easier and faster to get.
