Normal ending

The final ending that all players will receive for a normal playthrough. It is unlikely that you will see something different on the first playthrough if you do not use guides. For the true ending, you need to perform non-obvious additional actions! If you somehow missed this, replay the final boss fight and when the game asks, refuse to show the incense (see below for how to get it).

Secret ending

To unlock this ending, you first need to collect 4 masterpieces for the altar:

• Cierzo. It can be found in the chest of the Severed Tower after you return all the Abandoned Offerings to the carriage, which you will initially find in the Grille and Ruins location.
• Pitiful. Purchase from the Traveling Merchant in the first Crimson Rains room for 6000 Tears of Atonement.
• Lebesh. When you blow out all 5 candles for the sleeping maidens hidden around the world, return to the room in the lower right corner of the Streets of Jax and go through all the battle arenas to receive a masterpiece as a reward..
• Gregal . Find and free all 33 cherubs. Climb to the top of High Choir Gardens. In the upper room on the left, there is a wall that you can climb up. It is hidden behind the leaves. Climb into the secret rooms to find another masterpiece.

Then you need to equip all the masterpieces on the prayer altar as shown in the screenshot below. They should all face the center of the screen. They will all turn gold. Once you've done that, return to the Chapel of the Five Doves. Climb up and open the door on the right side. In the center of this room you will find a brazier. Interact with her to melt masterpieces and get incense.

Fight the final boss. The combat will not actually change. When offering to pass incense, agree to see the true ending.
