Lies of P endings

Lies of P has a total of three endings: Rise of P, Free from the Puppet String, and Real Boy. Reaching all three endings unlocks the following trophies and achievements:

• Rise of P
• Free from the puppet string (No longer a puppet)
• Real boy: They all lived happily ever after (Real boy: and they lived happily ever after)

As the game progresses, you will be able to make decisions, choosing between truth and lies. This affects how the game ends. On the first playthrough, it is best to lie, and on the second, tell the truth. You can get two endings in one playthrough by choosing either a permanent lie or the truth, but it will take a second playthrough to get the opposite ending (full lie or full truth).

Below we have collected all the key moments in the game when you need to make decisions. They are placed in chronological order. In addition, I indicated what answers you need to give to lie or tell the truth. By focusing on completely lying on your first playthrough of the game, you will receive all 11 special weapons.

Inside a house on Elysion Boulevard

Walk across the rooftops to the next building. Immediately after exiting, jump to the right to see another illuminated window with the silhouette of a crying woman. Talk to her and accept the task. She asks to find her child. Play through the game at a normal pace until you reach an area with two swordsmen??and near the fountain behind the fast travel point “City Hall”. Climb the stairs to find an Elite Puppet guarding an item. Defeat the enemy and take this item. Return to the crying woman and give her her "baby". And then choose what to tell her:

• Lie : Cute child.
• Truth : It's just a puppet.

Library of the Cathedral of Saint Frangelico

Shortly after the fast travel point, take the next elevator and find Alidoro:

• False : "Venigna's work." If you send him to the Venigni factory, you can find the character after defeating the Fallen Archbishop Andreus at the entrance to the workshop, up the stairs, in the room on the left side. If you lied to him first, you can lie again at the Venigni plant, sending him to Elysion Boulevard. Or you can redeem yourself by sending him to the Krat Hotel.
• Truth : Hotel Krat.

Street Rose Isabel Calvert

Near the fast travel point, talk to Julian and accept his task. He asks for his late wife's things to be returned. Go through the sewers until you find yourself in an area with female puppets (chimney sweeps). Go up the stairs, find the hunter and the kamikaze puppet, cross the bridge and go down the stairs to find the corpse of a woman against the wall. Take her things and return to Julian. ZatLet's choose what to say:

• Lie : "I saw the message she left saying she loved you."
• Truth : “I didn’t see anything.”

Hotel Krat

After defeating the Puppet King, talk to Antonia:

• Lie : "Of course."
• Truth : “There is nothing left.”

After talking with Antonia, chat with Polendina near the fountain outside:

• Lie : “There is no such Puppet.”
• Truth : “I have it.”

Conference hall of the Great Exhibition

After defeating Champion Victor and talking to Simon Manus:

• Lie : "Monsters."
• Truth : “Hope for a cure.”

Hotel Krat

After defeating the Corrupted Parade Master and receiving information from Antonia about the secret passage behind the portrait, talk to Belle again to continue her side quest. She wants you to find her friend. Travel to Krat Central Station. Go right, down the stairs, turn around and enter the carriage. Talk to the NPC to receive the letter. Return to Belle:

• False : "He was killed in action."
• Truth : “He became a monster.”

Hotel Krat

After defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood in the Trisimegistus Relic arena, return to the Krat Hotel and talk to Venigni:

• Lie : “I didn’t hear.”
• Truth : "Geppetto caused a puppet frenzy."

After Venigni deciphers Alidoro's mysterious vessel, read it and talk to Eugenie:

• Lie : “I think he was just a talented detective.”
• Truth : "He was Eugenie's older brother."

External wall of Arche Abbey

After opening the final Trinity Shrine shortly after the fast travel point, follow down the vertical room with two beams and talk to Arlecchino:

• Lie : "Man."
• Truth : “Puppet.”

Ascension Bridge

After defeating Laxasia, talk to Sofia in her room:

• Lie : "Give her peace."
• Truth : “Let her live.”

Upper part of Arche Abbey, inner bridge

After Geppetto is in the prison cell:

• Lie : "Yes."
• Truth : “No.”

Abbots Arche, Cradle of God

After defeating the Awakened God Simon Manus, answer depending on what you did to Sophia earlier:

• If given, say: “I gave her peace.”
• If allowed to live, say: “Freed from Arche Abbey.”

How to get the "Real Boy" and "Rise of P" endings

After defeating Simon Manus, take the elevator down, interact with the "Under the Abyss" fast travel point and make a backup save??opinion. When asked by Gepetto, select the "Give Heart" option to unlock the "Real Boy" ending. After the end credits DO NOT START New Game+. Returning to the Krat Hotel, go into Geppetto's office, take the letter from the table and read it. You will receive the achievement "A Father's Story". Interact with the piano on the first floor to get the "Pianist Krat" achievement.

Load your save and return to the Krat Hotel. Note that the nose in the portrait in Geppetto's office is quite long, but cannot be interacted with. Play all available recordings without stopping, then interact with the portrait to obtain the special weapon "Golden Lie". Remember that the nose will only grow and turn into a weapon if you lied throughout the game. The weapon will not appear during the passage for the truth!

Return to the "Under the Abyss" point, but this time choose the "Abandon" option and fight the Nameless Puppet to unlock the "First Puppet" achievement. This will give you the "Rise of P" ending.

After the end credits , do not start New Game+ . Back at the Krat Hotel, purchase the last special weapon from Researcher Hugo, which can be exchanged for the Nameless Puppet's Ergo Crystal. You will receive the "Special Weapons Collector" achievement (if you have collected all the othernew species).

Go to Geppetto's office and read "The Blue Butterfly's Letter." This will unlock the "Tale of the Blue Butterfly" achievement.

How to get liberation endings

Start New Game + near the fast travel point at the Krat Hotel. During the passage, choose the truth (tasks from the King of Riddles do not count). Don't give Sofia any peace and be sure to tell Simon about it at the end of the game. Select the option “Refuse with Geppetto. You'll know you got this ending if Geppetto gets mad at you and says, "You're just a puppet."
