The beginning of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

1. Quick launch of the add-on

The Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion can be started right away. Simply select the New Game option from the main menu and the Skipping to Phantom Liberty option. You'll be able to customize your main character, although the options will be distributed automatically (but you can change them later). The main downside is that you won't be able to experience the previous arc, which tells V's backstory and his introduction to other iconic characters. 2. New game and completion of the Transmission quest

The key requirement to advance to the Phantom Liberty campaign is to complete the main quest called Transmission. This can be done regardless of whether you are starting from a new save (New Game) or are already playing through the story campaign, but just haven’t gotten to this point.

During the mission, will you travel to Pacifica and encounter Voodoo Boys. You will also meet Placid and Bridget. Once you complete this mission, netrunner Jay will contact you, claiming that there is a way to help V.

3. Loading an old save with the completed task Transmission

Those who have already completed most of the base game (at a minimum, completing the Transmission mission) will be able to try out Phantom Liberty much faster. After loading such a save, go to sleep in V’s apartment, and when you wake up, Jay will contact you.

Regardless of which method you choose to start the expansion, a call from Jay will lead you to Dogtown, a walled section of Pacifica.
