There are three factions in New World that fight each other for control of Aeternum. Literally in the early stages of the game, gamers are offered to choose who to join - the Marauders, the Syndicate or the Covenant.

After joining a faction, you will have to increase its rank (reputation) by completing various quests. They all differ from each other - some tasks give a significant increase in reputation, while others reward a smaller amount. In this guide, we will explain how to level up a faction in New World, list all the rank requirements, faction quests, and show why some players get stuck at around 3000 units.

Before leveling up a faction, you need to join it. Play through the game and eventually get the "Commitment to the Cause" quest. You will be offered to join the ranks of the Marauders, Syndicate or Covenant. The choice of faction affects allies in PvP and the rewards you can get through the faction shop. The difference in these awards is purely cosmetic, and in this regard, you should not bother too much.

Once every 120 days you can change faction. If two factions are at war when you try to move from one to the other, the game will not allow you to join the ranks of the faction that is leading the war.

Faction quests (quests)

After joining a faction, you will be able to chat with its representative in any settlement. Each has 6 different quests that can be requested at any time. Three quests are PvE related, three are PvP related. Both categories of quests will reward you with faction reputation, though you'll get a lot more for PvP. If you want to quickly level up a faction, you need to complete as many PvP tasks as possible. PvE quests are a good alternative, but the reputation gain will be negligible.

After completing the faction task, the list will be updated. If you don't like any of the quests currently available, you can wait for the list to be updated.

In the future, the indicated rewards (reputation) are comparable to zones for levels 1-25. If you move to a higher level zone, then the reward will be better accordingly.

PvE quests challenge you to kill mobs patrolling areas or create items. These missions have no time limit and cannot go into failure, so you can complete them at your own pace. Quests give more experience than quests from the notice board, but less than any other side quest. Take them in such a way that you can perform side missions in parallel.siyam to ensure maximum experience gain. PvE quests give an average of 200-300 reputation.

PvP missions include missions related to holding territory, collecting resources, or obtaining items in certain places. Unlike PvE quests, if you die, the quest will automatically fail. Be careful when doing missions like this, as most of the locations the game sends you to are destinations for other factions, meaning you will encounter enemy players.

Each PvP quest gives an average of 300-400 reputation points, allowing you to level up the faction rank much faster.

Stuck on 3000 reputation - what to do?

At the beginning of the game, you may have noticed that the reputation value is stuck at 3000 points. The fact is that in order to continue the development of the faction, you will have to go through a certain quest. To overcome the 3000 unit limit, you must complete the Challenge [Faction Rank] quest, available at level 20. The name of the quest differs from the specific faction:

  • Marauder - Trial of the Gladiator
  • Syndicate - Scribe's Trial
  • Covenant - Trial of the Templar

You can take quests from your faction merchant.ii. The quest repeats every time you gain the required reputation to advance to a new faction level.

Faction Levels

Each faction in New World has 5 ranks, each of which unlocks new items that are available in the faction shop. First, complete faction quests to earn the required amount of reputation, and then complete the challenge quest that allows you to move to a new faction level.

  • Marauders: Soldier / Gladiator / Ravager / Destroyer / Commander
  • Syndicate: Adept / Scribe / Chronicler / Conspirator / Alchemist
  • Covenant: Initiate / Templar / Guardian / Lumen / Alchemist

And here are the reputation points that are needed to move to new faction levels:

  • Level 2 - 3000 (recommended player level - 25)
  • Level 3 - 11,000 (recommended player level - 40)
  • Level 4 - 26,000 (recommended player level - 50)
