Slots, rune boxes in No Rest for the Wicked

The use of runes is an important element of character enhancement. Players will be able to insert runes into weapons after they reach Sacramenta , the game's hub. Sacramenta becomes available after defeating the first boss and will be the main place to purchase items, upgrade weapons and add runes.

Once in Sacramenta, talk to Eleanor in the marketplace. Her exact location is shown below.

You'll know you're in the right place if you see a blacksmith hitting an anvil. Talk to Eleanora and select the Buy option. Here you can select the runes you want to purchase with in-game currency. I recommend choosing the Health Pulse, which heals the character in times of crisis. After purchasing the selected rune, go to the Runes section of its own store. Select the appropriate slot you want to equip the rune to.

Keep in mind that there are times when you find a weapon that already has two Runes on it. This is rare, but it does happen. In other words, you don't always need to visit Eleanor.
