Bronze in Hades 2 — how to get it

Bronze is one of the resources in Hades 2 that can be found exclusively on the surface. It is a critical crafting ingredient that will be needed to unlock all weapons (particularly the silver skull). Unlike the original Hades, Hades 2 allows you to explore the Underworld and the surface. At the beginning of the game, you only have access to the Underworld, but after a few hours, a spell will appear that allows you to unlock a path to the surface.

First, you will need to unlock the gate that leads to the surface. Then you will need to get rid of the curse that causes Melinoa to lose health on the surface. The spell that allows you to unlock the path to the surface will be unlocked after your meeting with Hermes in the Underworld. To activate it, you need a resource that falls from Hecate and a moth flower (yellow flower) that grows in Erebus. You'll also need a shade, which requires an additional branch of the cauldron to unlock, allowing you to do alchemy. If you don't have access to alchemy yet, keep going through Underworld and it will appear soon.

To get Shadow, you need to collect 30 Ashes, 30 Will, and 3 Moire cloths. You can buy myrrh cloth from the Cursed Merchant. After collecting resources, activate the spell at the cauldron to open the exit to the surface. During your first foray to the surface, after clearing the first location you will take significant damage every few seconds, which will effectively deny you the ability to get deep into Aether and get bronze. Now you need to break the curse, which will require another spell and resources you don't have right now.

Go back to Rapustier and you will be told about the spell:

• The Lotus is a flower that grows in the Ocean.
  
• Nightshade can be grown from seeds that you will find in Ereb.
• Moss is found on the Rasputnik - look for green bushes already on the first location. It's not a big deal that you lose health. Just have time to collect the moss.
• Thalamus is the most difficult resource to obtain. I tell you more about it in a separate guide. But in short, you can dig up Talamus seeds with a shovel in the Realm of Chaos.

Once you've collected all the resources, use the cauldron for the spell “Unraveling the Fateful Thread”. Now that you are free from the curse, you will be able to move around the surface in peace.

Fortunately, in the city of Aether, the first location on the surface, there is a lot of this bronze. After collecting it, you can craft a fishing rod and a new weapon Skull. Bronze can appear in any room in the first region of the surface, including the center of Aether and the boss arena. You need a pickaxe to mine it!
