Despite the fact that many players are captivated by the recently released Shadow of the Erdtree add-on for Elden Ring, the cooperative action platformer Chained Together has unexpectedly made its way into the TOP Steam lists, which, by the way, can be played alone. The game has many pitfalls, but this only pushes gamers to constantly try to complete it.
The main difficulty that players will encounter is the save system. It is far from obvious and incomprehensible how exactly progress in the game is saved. Many even wonder: is it even possible to save in Chained Together? The answer is yes.
Chained Together does not have a standard save system. However, your progress is constantly tracked, and a save point is created every time you leave the game or move to each new stage (see the title). There used to be some difficulties, but now the process has become a little easier since the developers have reworked the save system. The game is still saved when you exit and move to a new stage. However, you can access your progress from the menu where you create a game. Be sure to select a save before starting the race.
According to the developer's announcement on Discord, saving your game disables your scores being sent to the leaderboard. Please note that you will need to log out yourself to use the special save system in Chained Together. Dying on Lava difficulty will cause you to start from the very first level.
Although Chained Together does not have regular saves, checkpoints can be used when selecting the Beginner difficulty. This will allow you to use 3 checkpoints on your way to escape from hell, which are located at the following heights:
All of these save points are shown in the video below:
But don't forget that starting the game on Beginner difficulty will deny you access to the leaderboard!
