All Zoochosis Endings — Game Guide

There are officially 23 endings in Zoochosis. However, not all of these endings are very diverse. Rather, when the developers talked about the number "23", they meant unique endings and their variations. There are only a few main endings, which contain unique animations and conclusions that make them stand out from the rest.

General Information

Each ending you unlock sheds light on the events that occur, which can be used in New Game+, New Game++, and so on. Each completed playthrough adds an enclosure with a new animal, which slightly changes the gameplay and provides variety for replays. The first time the game will abruptly end immediately after you return to the hub from the third enclosure, where you encounter the first infected animal.

Be sure to return to the hub after visiting any enclosure (after you have cured all the animals and dealt with the mutant, if there is one). This will not only continue the plot, but will also allow you to replenish resources in the hub mailbox. By the way, Doc puts resources whenever you run out of them. And this happens an unlimited number of times, so do not worry about supplies! The most you will run into is an unplanned return to the hub. You should explore the storage rooms next to all the enclosures. Resources are stored there, various notes and notes that will tell you about the previous caretakers and workers of this place.

This guide will focus on the four main endings - bad, worse, good and best.

Bad ending and its variations

This is the standard ending of Zoochosis and, most likely, the first ending you will get in the game. If you follow all of Doc's orders, without question, you will get a sudden ending, and Paul will become a victim of Mom. At the beginning of the game, you unwittingly give Paul's wife a block of meat (not knowing it's ground up human meat). Paul is then forced to send Sarah to the grinder to make more meat blocks.

There are two main differences in the bad ending. If you give the block of meat to your wife but don't use the severed hand to open the lab, Lily will come to the zoo in the morning. Doc will kill both her and Paul. The alternative is to complete all the objectives but open the lab with CJ's hand and call Lily on the phone in the lab. However, if Sarah is dead, which is the only way it can be in the first playthrough, then the family has already eaten the meat and Paul is sacrificed to Mom at the end.

It doesn't matter whether the mutated animals attacked you or not, since Paul was infected by Doc at the very beginning of the game. Another variation is that you can open the lab but not call Lily. Doc ends up killing both Lily and Paul because Paul's wife arrives at the zoo early in the morning.

Secret, quick ending

You can get another ending at the very beginning, but only on your first playthrough. Just don't sign the NDA. Wait. Eventually, Paul will throw away his uniform. Doc will knock him out, tie him up, and put him in the meat grinder.

Other variations of the bad ending

You can also ignore Lily at the main door. She will continue to stand near the door and the mailbox. Eventually, the woman will call the police and report her husband (the main character) missing. Continue playing the game. Eventually, Doc will feed both Paul and Lily to Mom.

Alternatively, you can give Lily the meat, then save Sarah, but after creating the Poison for Mom, inject it specifically into her. At the end of the game, Doc will find Sarah and feed her to Mom. Paul should be next, but if you created the right Poison, Mom will be destroyed. Paul will drop a parasite, as Mom's death killed all of her parasites. Paul will kill Doc by stabbing him in the back with an axe.

Similarly, in the lab after Doc calls, you can pick up the axe to the left of Sarah and kill her. Interact with the axe to kill Sarah and get an ending similar to the standard ending (Doc will still feed Paul to Mom).

Finally, another variation of the bad ending can be achieved if you save Sarah but do not use the severed hand to get into the lab. In this ending, Sarah will lock Paul inside the booth. He will later turn into a mutant. Doc will then find him. The mutated Paul kills Doc.

The worst ending and its variations

The worst ending - everyone dies at Mom's hands: Paul, Sarah, Lily and Doc. You need to free Sarah, gain access to CJ's lab and create Poison for Mom. But instead, when creating the Poison, you need to choose the wrong parasite.

To get the worst ending, you need to:

  1. Do not give Lily the meat block. Or give it, but do not call from the lab. Or just do not answer at the main door.
  2. Free Sarah.
  3. Find CJ's severed hand in the bio-waste filter on the train.
  4. Open CJ's labs with the hand.
  5. Go through three enclosures. At least one animal needs to be cured to get a live parasite. But it can happen that this live parasite is a female, which is what is needed to create the right poison. In general, it's best to cure three or even four parasites, then study the instructions on the Poison crafting tab, find a female, but choose any male parasite.
  6. Do not call Lily on her cell phone if you gave her a meat block.
  7. Choose a male parasite.
  8. Inject Poison into Paul.

Doc or the police will kill Lily (depending on whether you gave her a meat block at the beginning of the playthrough or not, or gave her and did not call, or simply did not communicate through the main door). Her body can be seen at the end, where Sarah successfully injects poison into Doc, but it backfires because you made the wrong substance. Paul, Sarah, Lily, and Doc are eaten by Mom.

Good ending and its variations

There are two ways to collect parasites. You can kill an infected animal with three lethal injections, or create three darts with a cure for the parasite on the train using the collected symptoms from other animals in the enclosure. While you can kill the Mother with a dead Parasite, identifying the female if the Parasites are dead is a matter of pure luck. Instead, finding the female Parasite and creating the correct poison for the Mother requires collecting live Parasites, i.e. healing the infected animals. I recommend going through all four enclosures and collecting four live Parasites (when you visit the first enclosure, the phone in the guardhouse will ring and Linda will tell you the password to CJ's locker; immediately return to the hub and open the locker to get the recipes for the medicine for the infected animals).

While you only need one Parasite, it's better to collect four to increase your chances of finding the female.

Here are the key steps:

  1. Don't feed Lily the Meat Block.
  2. Cure at least three infected animals and place the Parasites in the Parasite Storage (first suck them up like feces, then send them to the train).
  3. Rescue Sarah.
  4. Find CJ's severed hand.
  5. Enter the lab and call Lily.

Choose a female parasite from the parasite storage on the train and use the computer to create Poison for Mom. The behavior of the female or males of the three different types is described on the adjacent tab. The more live parasites in the four flasks, the faster you will understand which of them is the female. There is only one female among the parasites!

There is a variation of this ending that is good for Paul and Sarah, but terrible for Lily. If you do not give the meat block to Lily and then do not call her, she will think that Paul has disappeared. This will lead to Doc hitting Lily with his car and bringing the body to feed to Mom.

Best ending - how to save everyone?

Everyone except Doc, of course. In this ending, you must give Lily the block, save Sarah, get to the lab and call your wife. If Sarah is saved, then Paul will have time to warn Lily that she should not eat meat. In addition, she will not call the police and will not stay near the zoo, so Doc will not kill her.

Next, you need to go through four enclosures, preferably collect four live parasites and accurately identify the live one. Having created the Poison for Mom, go to Sarah and inject it into yourself. At the end of the game, Sarah will not inject the poison into Paul, but will inject it into Doc instead. Mom will eat Doc, but die. Paul will be cured, will return to his wife. Sarah will publish an article about the events.
