«Source of Corruption» Dragon Age: The Veilguard Walkthrough

You will encounter the Overseer, who will warn you about the existence of the source of corruption. Your next task is to fight a boss named Felassan's Betrayal. This enemy is a serious threat, having level 32, so be sure to prepare for this fight in advance.

During the battle, he will become invulnerable twice, fully restoring his protective barrier scale (blue scale). To interrupt his powerful attacks and destroy the shield, run up to him and strike at the right moments. Use all the skills available to you, including powerful attacks, ultimate abilities, and so on. Given the difficulty level, your healing potion can quickly run out, so do not hesitate to ask your allies for help in healing. After victory, you will need to collect the essence of the risen dead. In addition, in the chest located in the arena, you will find a unique amulet "Burden", which is an item of the highest rarity.

After this, return to Lighthouse Island and install the first obtained essence in the gate with three holes.

To get the second and third essences of the risen dead, you will need to complete quests related to the "Gate of Pale Reflections" and "Gate of Scorched Hopes". Opponents from which the essences needed to open these gates drop can be found in the Hossberg Marshes. Having installed all three essences, go through the gate on Lighthouse Island.

Now you will have to fight the Risen Dragon, which is at level 50 - this is the most difficult opponent among all the High Dragons you have encountered in the game. Climb the stairs and open the chest to get the unique ring "Extreme Measures". Then jump to the ledge to the left to find the second mysterious circle. Finally, back on your boat to Lighthouse Island, approach the statues located in the center and interact with them to listen to a conversation between the two main antagonists of the game.
