Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl — How to Get Coupons Fast

Luckily, there is value to be found in every corner of the Zone. You just need to know how to do it. We tell you about all the ways to get coupons in the game.

General tips

A little attention will help you get the most out of your time, regardless of whether you are a newbie or a veteran of the series:

  • Sell items only to merchants. Items are not sold at the price indicated in the inventory. The profit is affected by the person you are bargaining with. Merchants offer 33% of the item's value, while bartenders offer about 25%, and wandering stalkers only 20%. At the same time, if you pump up your relationship with the faction of the current base, the cost of buying and selling goods will increase and decrease accordingly.
  • Avoid damage. Armor is one of the most expensive items in the game, so it will take a lot of coupons to repair it. Avoid taking damage to reduce its wear. Or periodically wear some old and unnecessary armor found on another raid.
  • Understand when to engage in combat, and when you can save ammo and weapon wear. One of the most common resources in the Zone is ammo. There are several types of ammo, and you can find them on the corpses of any killed enemy, marked with an X on the compass. Instead of shooting ammo, you can sell it to traders. And to save money, aim for vulnerable spots (in the case of a person - the head). This minimizes the consumption of ammo.
  • Use artifacts that increase carrying capacity. The more you can carry, the more you can sell and earn at a time. Therefore, using any artifacts that increase carrying capacity will allow you to collect more loot.
  • Always pick up armor and helmets. These are rare items, you will not be able to farm them constantly, so do not miss the opportunity. Loot armor and gas masks every time, and then sell them to merchants.
  • Fast travel - only in rare cases. The fast travel system is designed in such a way that you always have to pay Guides to travel from one point to another. It is better to go on foot, and then you will find more resources, while spending fewer coupons.

Loot everything except weapons

Loot is everywhere, but one of the main sources of loot will be hostile NPCs (people). Each person you fight will have a weapon, ammo for it, and something else (like bandages, drinks, or even PDAs and grenades). Grenades are especially valuable due to their size and rarity; try not to use them in combat, and sell them instead.

Even if you have to deal with mutants (whose corpses cannot be picked up), each point of interest on the map can find various things, including ammo, first aid kits, food, and alcohol. Do not ignore vodka or beer. Do not leave the location until you have inspected it from top to bottom and taken everything that is not nailed to the wall.

You do not need to keep broken weapons in your inventory. Merchants do not buy them. No, they can buy weapons, but first you will have to repair them. But you will spend more money on repairs than you will get from selling weapons. The only exception is any unbroken weapon. You can pick it up, but also watch the character's carrying capacity.

Search caches

The above tip works great in tandem with searching caches. A cache marked on the map indicates where to look for a cache with a lot of loot. Usually, there are other items to collect in the surrounding area, in addition to those you find inside the cache itself.

If you want to reduce the time spent on useless wandering in search of loot, go to the cache marked on the map. You will receive cache coordinates as a reward for completing quests or when searching dead people, if their corpses have a PDA.

Collect artifacts

Artifacts are the true treasures of the Zone. Often, such items provide bonuses in exchange for radiation. And although they can be useful, you can equip no more than 5 of them on your belt (and only after you find and improve suitable armor). You will also often find similar artifacts. Selling duplicates or artifacts whose effects you don't care about is an easy way to get coupons.

The process is (usually) simple: find a zone with several anomalies of the same type, carefully move around it with the detector turned on, pick up the artifact and exit the anomaly. Even if you get hurt and have to use a first aid kit, the cost of the artifact (and you can find several) will justify itself.

Complete the tasks

Play the game as intended! Jokes aside, this is one of the more reliable ways to get a lot of coupons. You will be able to take side missions already in the Minor Zone. For completing them, you can get from 1000 coupons and more. Later quests, especially in the main storyline, will allow you to earn about 10,000.

Not to mention that these quests send you to the sights of the region, where there is a lot of loot and caches. And one of the characters in each base has repeatable missions!
