Along with the release of the enhanced version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut for PS5 comes the Island of Iki expansion, which will be available for Sony's new and previous generation consoles. To access it, you need to fulfill a few special conditions. Below we detail what needs to be done to start the next chapter of Jin Sakai's adventure.

In case you didn't already know, the Island of Iki add-on takes Jin to a new location, where he will have to face the demons of his past. The content will introduce a whole new region for you to explore, with tons of new stories, collectibles, and enemies to explore.

1. Complete the game to the second act

If you do not have backup saves and either New Game or New Game + is available, you should not be upset: just go through it from the very beginning to the second act, the Toyotoma region.

2. There will be a new fairy tale / story "Journey to the Past"

As soon as the above condition is met, a new story called "Journey to the Past" will appear on the map. The marker is located in the Toyotama region on the shore of the Drowned. If it is not in your diary, go to the shore of the Drowned, and the task will appear on the map. Follow the guiding wind to the desired point, marking it on the map.

3. Start the quest chain to go to Iki

Upon arrival, you will find suspicious events: an abandoned ship of the Mongols has moored to the shore. Study it and soon you will be drawn into an unexpected battle against the Mongols. You will also be introduced to a new type of enemy - shamans. Destroy the invaders, and then go to the ship to sail to the island of Iki.

Please note that the game will warn you that you will not be able to return back to Tsushima until you pass a certain part of Iki Island. There are several story missions.
