Unturned is a free zombie survival game from Smartly Dressed Games. The game launched back in 2017 and received ports for PS4 and Xbox One in 2020. The game has simplified graphics, reminiscent of Minecraft. Players are quick to change, tweak, and improve the games they love, given the time and tools to do so. There is no shortage of modding in Unturned. From the many available mods, we have selected the best ones that players should try. All mods listed below can be found on the Steam Workshop .
This Unturned mod adds a relatively simple but really cool addition: katanas. These swords, which date back to 1281 in Japan at the time of Kublai Khan's invasion, are considered the primary weapons of the samurai. Anyone who has enjoyed anything from Akira Kurosawa's filmography to Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or just the recent Ghost of Tsushima can attest to what these swords find about?? nature is cool. So it's great to see them added to Unturned.
The Katana Pack was created by modders Eighteendonut and ZethSilver and can be found on the Steam Workshop along with the rest of the discussed Unturned mods.
Fallout-inspired Unturned mods are pretty common, but each adds something different and interesting to the Unturned formula. This particular mod adds the eponymous power armor, which has become something of a mascot for the Fallout games.

This mod dAdds a set of absolutely cool looking cold weather gear that will protect the player from the cold. The mod was developed by Pixel and maniac.gov.
Vehicles are an important part of Unturned, as they are the only way the player can traverse some of the game's vast maps in a relatively short amount of time. It also protects the player to some extent from the predatory undead beasts that roam the world in search of living food.
The Vehicles++ mod replaces all vehicles from the base game with visually and practically improved versions with new features. This is no small task and adds a lot to the base game. This mod comes from user JPepe.
This is another car mod that focuses more on air and sea travel than land travel.63491&searchtext=">The Wind Vehicles mod by user Tiway adds many new planes, helicopters and boats to the world of Unturned, each of which will add a new and unique experience to the game.
Being able to fly or swim away from zombies is a very tempting idea, and it can give the player a breather while trying to survive the apocalypse.
The Fiff's Clothing 2 mod by user Fiffe is a base clothing modification that gives the player access to a cool assortment of additional outfits. The clothing appears to be heavily inspired by Fallout: New Vegas and other post-apocalyptic video game franchises.
This is a well made and beautiful outfit set for Unturned. He easily ranks on this list.
One of the funniest mods is Santa's Sleigh and Gifts by Nylex. This mod gives the player a sleigh, reindeer, Santa Claus costume and giftsaus.
Despite the Christmas theme, it doesn't really matter what time of year it is. Players can enjoy this mod no matter when they download it. The opportunity to play Santa Claus in an apocalyptic zombie-infested wasteland will always be enjoyable, no matter the season.
Many of the most impressive mods for Unturned are map expansions. Modders are constantly releasing vast, populated, and elaborate maps for the game. Many of them have been officially added to the game by developer Nelson Sexton.
New Brunswick , created by modder Cesspitsid, isn't one of the few that Sexton has taken notice of. However, it is still a massive and impressive map with a big city and an oil rig to explore.
Milton State by users Cyan and Parrawk is another impressive kamouth for Unturned. This vast map has many cities to explore and vehicles to pilot. Like many official Unturned maps, it also has hidden locations to explore.
There is also an updated version of the map called Milton State Reborn created by user Tailsru. It's not clear if this was done in collaboration with Cyan and Parrow (although they were listed in the description), but this is another Milton State version worth checking out.
The Blacksmithing mod by user Dogfood adds a whole new dimension of survival to Unturned. This allows players to mine ingots and craft weapons and armor from materials, as well as provide new types of furniture to craft.
Some might say that this mod makes Unturned more like Minecraft. However, the survival mechanics in Unturned are much more focused on combat and stamina than what kind of creations can be made. Unturned's combat focus gives it a personality beyond Mojang's creation.

Rain WW2 mod adds weapons, vehicles and the atmosphere of World War II battles to the world of Unturned. Players can now counter zombie threats across the map with weapons used by allied nations around the world.

Unturned Wars by user Volsuin brings a healthy dose of Star Wars to Unturned. This mod adds 15 vehicles, over 30 outfits, and over 25 weapons from the original Star Wars trilogy to the game. This allows players to be like their favorite characters, using the same weapons and vehicles to fight off endless hordes of the undead.

Considering that Unturned is a post-apocalyptic game full of wastelands laced with nuclear waste, it's only natural for someone to include their beloved Fallout universe into battle. Fallout: Story of Wasteland is an add-on map set to Fallout that uses its look and weapons and was created by user ApeWatcher.
There's another Fallout-themed map, also by ApeWatcher, called Fallout PEI, which takes place on Prince Edward Island, a key location in Unturned.
More Farming Mod is another mod from user Dogfood. This popular mod expands on the animals and crops that players can grow in the game. It also adds more items and crafting mechanics to expand farming options.
Farming is a key part of surviving in an environment where all supply chains and storefronts have been eliminated. With this mod, players can take extra precautions to ensure theirthe character survived.
Oldie Firearm Pack Mod by Dogfood. This mod adds a whole bunch of old weapons to the world of Unturned.
The game already has a whole list of guns and weapons that the player can choose from. However, it lacks the loving recreation of older firearms with which to take down hordes of the undead. With that in mind, players should take a look at this mod and start gathering some extra firepower.
