Sometimes it becomes necessary to change the account name for Windows 10/11. This may be due to different requirements of software that does not support Cyrillic. Here's how to quickly change your name without having to create a new account!
Click on the search icon (magnifying glass) in the lower left corner of the screen and enter the query "Control Panel". Open this panel and click on the phrase "Change Account Type" under the "User Accounts" category.
You will see a window with available profiles. Click on the desired LMB and select the line "Change account name". Enter a new name and save. To be safe, you can restart your computer.
Note. In the same menu, you can change the password, account type, or switch to manage another one.
