How to buy a caravan in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Many mechanics related to caravans in Bannerlord have not yet been explored. As it seems, there is still no way to interact directly with a caravan moving around the world map. You can't even control what exactly it will transport, what goods to sell and at what price. Currently, all you can do is buy a caravan and just let it do its thing.

Choose a location. It is not yet clear how exactly this could affect the caravan. It is best to look somewhere in the depths of the map, since frontline cities can be captured or besieged. This will result in the termination of all trading. Any major city with workshops and taverns will do. When you get to it, you can choose a character to talk to from the cells above, or walk through the streets of the city and find an interlocutor yourself.

You need to chat with the artisan. Someone who crafts things. Ifcharacter has not only a name, but also a profession, then he can start a caravan. Just chat with him and ask him to form a caravan. It will cost about 15,000 dinars. You will also need to give away one of your companions who will travel and protect the caravan.

At the very beginning, the caravan will work in the red. Gradually, negative numbers will turn into profits. The process is very slow. Before investing in any caravan, I would advise you to make a backup save.
