How Mafia: Definitive Edition hints at the Mafia 4 setting

Several collectibles indicate that the events of the fourth part will unfold in Cuba and / or in Los Angeles

The original game didn't have as many collectibles, but the remake added magazines, comics, postcards, and cigarette liners. The most noteworthy of the latter - they display characters from different parts of the series, but there are also several interesting personalities.

Besides Tommy Angelo, Paulie, Sam, Frank Vinci, Carlo Falcone and other characters, you can find Lou Romeo from Los Ondas and Fredo Clemente from Havana.

Lou Romeo's card says that Lou belongs to Hollywood high society. He commands unions, launders money and blackmails movie studio bosses. And he does it in front of everyone.

A short, mustachioed man stands among palm trees in Cuba. He is the owner of the glamorous Orinetal Park race track in Havana, the main supplier of smuggled rum in the United States. Fredo Clemente, brother of mobster Alberto from Empire Bay, can despise Thu?? anything, but is satisfied that no one touches him on this island.

Fredo's card may be a reference to The Godfather 2, given the character's name, connection to Empire Bay gangsters, and location. But Lou Romeo is a much more interesting character who should probably appear in Mafia 4.

All three of the previous installments were connected to the US East Coast (Chicago, New York and New Orleans), so it makes sense that the developers would want to bring the game to the West Coast. Los Angeles is a good city for another mafia story.
