How to find the black market in Crown Trick

In this guide, I will tell you how to get into the black market in the Crown Trick roguelike recently released on Steam.

The black market in the Crown Trick can only be accessed after completing the first game zone, the Realm of Nightmares. At least that was the case in my case. It took me several visits to complete this chapter, and during them I did not encounter the black market once. But then he began to appear in subsequent chapters, including Gears of Sorrow, Witchcraft of Fear and Tsunami of Rage.

In any case, you won't even know it exists until you spot a strange black hole in the floor. If you interact with her, then move to the black market.

The Black Market NPC sells several items, many of which are of higher rarity. Here you can find epic (purple) and legendary (orange) loot. And by spending some gold while interacting with the cauldron, you can request the appearance of new goods.

The same principles apply to the regular supplier you encounter on the transition floors. The only difference is that the best goods can be found on the black market.

Similarly, on the same floor, you can meet both an ordinary supplier and a black market merchant. An example is shown in the screenshot below:

Another key difference between merchants is that regular merchants allow you to spend gold on weapon items. They are not on the black market, since a portal has been installed instead of a reforging station.

Finally, to improve your relationship with Crown Trick merchants, try to get some perks from NPCs in the Hall of Reincarnation:

• The Black Market Trader perk will increase the chances of this NPC spawning.
• The regular merchant perk will cause there to always be one discounted item.
• The Atelier perk will cause a merchant to spawn in front of the boss room.
