When you are at the first major location of the game, Sagus Cliffs, then visit the Cliff's Edge area and look for the entrance to the Fifth Eye Tavern. Inside it, on the lower right, there will be a Phantom Woman. Talk to her, pass the checks to start a new side quest "Ash Copy".

Above is a portal. Through it you will return to the location with the woman. Chatwith each of the copies in turn, and then talk to the Phantom Man - this is the father of that same Phantom Woman. Convince him to tell him how to stop the car. That's not all.

Return to the ordinary world. Wait until, when completing the quest "Cold, Calculating Key", you will find yourself at the location of the Buried Crossroads. It will be possible to get there after you steal or do something with the stichus eggs. In the lower left part of their lair there is a passage. Interact with the machine and turn it off.
