During the battle, a netrunner can lurk in the ranks of the enemy - one of the hackers often encountered in Night City, who uses his abilities to cause inconvenience to cyber-implanted opponents. He can hack V, causing the overheat gauge to start filling up. But remember that this can only happen if V is in the line of sight of an enemy or a camera that the netrunner can also use!

To avoid this process, shoot at the enemy or destroy the surveillance cameras aimed at you. Do this before the bar fills up. Or just hide so the netrunner can't see V directly or through the security cameras. By far the best way to stop the overheating is to finish off the netrunner, but they are usually nimble and nimble enemies that use haste and instantly move away from V if he gets too close.
