First, you need to stand to the right of the gate. There is a flashing button that cannot be seen from the other side. Grab a big fish. It must be large enough to withstand the bite. Move her to the gate. Once you're close enough, hold down the tail swing key/button. You will see the switch light up. Release the button to have the shark throw the fish right at him. This will open the gate forever. Now they can be used as a cut between locations.
