How to get the best Assassin's Creed Valhalla ending - all the important decisions

During the passage of Assassin's Creed Valhalla you have to make several important decisions that will affect the ending of the game

First, consider the Jomsvikings that you can hire for your settlement. These are special recruits that can be taken on assignments.

Where to find Jomsvikings

  • Byrne. Finding the right traitor for Soma is important. The villain here is Galinn.
  • Finnir. In East Anglia, after fighting Rude, kill or spare him. If you spare, he will appear at the wedding. Finish off Rude yourself without letting Oswald fight him. If Oswald dies, Finnir will be forced to take his place. And so he will join your settlement.
  • Rollo, Essex. During the quest "Old Wounds", Rollo will ask you to find out who the traitor is - Gredhild or Lork. The real traitor is Gredhild. However, this choice only affects whether Estrid gets injured in the battle that will take place later. And Rollo himself will join you anyway.
  • Wiley, Snotinghamshire. During the last tasks of the quest chain, if you allow Trygva to burn yourself alive, you will not get Willy as an ally. Say that the region should not lose anyone else. At the end of the task, you will need to choose a jarl. If you choose Trygve, Vili will go with you. If Trygve is dead, then Wily will automatically take his place.

The fate of Sigurd

There are five important decisions. If you stumble three times and go against your brother, he will leave England and return to Norway. If you listen to your brother three times or more, he will stay and help you in the battle for England.

  • Prologue. Before leaving for England, discard treasures. This will have a positive effect on your relationship with Sigurd. If you take them with you, you will get a negative reaction.
  • At some point, you will be able to walk with Randvi from your settlement. You can just skip this quest. If you go for a walk, you can choose to romance Randvi. But that would be a stab in the back of Sigurd. So either say you'll stay friends or skip the task.
  • In Oxfordshire, during the Blood from the Stone quest, you will argue with Sigurd and Basim. If you hit both, then it will be counted as a negative moment.
  • During the Ravenstrop quest "The Rising Storm", after completing the England Central Region arc, Doug will challenge Eivor to a duel. After the victory, you will be able to give him an ax or not to do so. If you don't give Dag the ax, Sigurd won't like it.
  • After the Essex story arc, go to Ravenstrop. A cutscene will play in the longhouse. If you saySigurd that the sentence is unjust, he will be angry. Better support Sigurd.

All important decisions in chronological order

  • In the prologue, leave the wealth in Norway. Otherwise, Sigurd will not like it.
  • In Ledecestershire, you can spare Leofrit. If you spare, he will tell you about the scroll, and you can stop the Zealots from hunting. On the other hand, if they are hunting you, it will be easier for you to destroy the Order of the Ancients.
  • To hire Byrna, tell Soma that Galinn is the traitor.
  • To hire Finnir, don't let Oswald fight Rude at the wedding (or kill Rude earlier).
  • In Oxfordshire, don't hit Bassim and Sigurd during an argument. Otherwise, Sigurd will be displeased.
  • At some point, you will be given 650 silver and asked to decide who to give them to (quest "Fatigue from fatigue"). Regardless of the choice, the Battle of Quatford will follow. Even if you give the silver to Ivar, he will still start the fight. So leave it to yourself.
  • During the mission "Killer of Kings" at the end of the story arc, when you need to report everything to Ubba, you can tell him the truth or lie. Ubba will appear in the settlement later. What you say to him will determine how he feels about Eivor. If told the truth, he will give a gift. If you lie, you will be angry.
  • Ravenstrop. Give Dag the ax to make Sigurd happy.
  • To hire Rollo in Uessex, you just need to complete the storyline. Choosing who the traitor is doesn't affect anything. Only on the absence or presence of injury in Estrid.
  • Say that Sigurd delivered the right verdict (after the Wessex storyline).
  • Lincolnshire. You need to choose a graph. If you select Herefrit, the story will end. He would later become a member of the Order. And you have to kill him. If you select Elfgar or Hunvald, the bishop is immediately recognized as a member of the Order. You will have to kill him.
  • Jorvik. At the feast, you need to talk to different people. In a conversation with Lufvina, blame someone. The correct answer is Audun.
  • It will also depend on your choice whether Faravid survives or dies. That is, you can tell him to fight (and die at the hands of Hamming), or to be exiled.
  • In order to hire Willy, you need to convince Trygve not to burn yourself, and then appoint him as Jarl.
