How to create an army in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Building a powerful army is the only way to stand up to other kingdoms in Bannerlord. Below we will tell you how to assemble an army, the number of which will reach 400-500 soldiers.

To form an army, one of two things must be done. You either have to have your own kingdom, which we talk about in a separate guide, or you have to become a vassal for an existing state.

In the case of your own kingdom, you need to create another squad. The more units you have, the more groups you can assign to an army. The ideal is to create as many as possible. When the second squad appears, look at the lower right corner on the world map. There you will see three tiny "checkboxes" that you can click on. If you have a kingdom, then you can hire any other units. In order for them to join you, their number must be above half. When they join, keep an eye on how this affects the cohesion scale. If it reaches "0", then the army will disintegrate.

If you become a vassal, you will be able to invite other clans from the kingdom to join you. The main difference is that you will have to pay influence points for this. Though you?? lead the army, for the castles will be voted. Don't expect the kingdom-owning AI to do everything for you. You need to take an active part in his life. But remember that you will not control the entire army on the battlefield. As in the previous paragraph, if the cohesion level drops to "0", then the army will disintegrate.
