If you are unfamiliar with this term, I will briefly explain: this is the process of creating a new account in order to get better characters or weapons. At the start of the game, you get a random weapon or character. If you don't like them, you can create a new account and try again; this is a reroll.

Why reroll in Genshin Impact?

The main reasons to reroll in Genshin Impact - as in any gacha game really - is the desire to get a certain character or weapon. To satisfy this desire, you can invest real money, grind a lot or reroll.

First, let's talk about the reroll. Open the screen with the Prayer, which is activated by pressing the star in the upper corner on PC, mobileilly phone and tablet, as well as through the pause button on PS4. Here you will see a banner of characters and weapons. The detail button at the bottom contains the drop chances for each character or weapon. Each set requires 1 Fateful Encounter, but you can purchase 10 at once for 10 Fateful Encounters, which guarantees additional rewards. At the start of the game, you get 20 free Fateful Encounters; 10 for reaching level 5 and 10 for reaching level 10. As soon as you get level 5, go to the Prayers section and buy 10 Prayers at once.

If you get the right character and/or weapon, then just keep playing. However, if you are not satisfied with the reward, you will have to reroll. Create another account and repeat the upgrade process. Time after time until you get the desired result.

Close the game, go to the MiHoYo website (for PC) or exit the app (for mobile devices and tablets) and create a new account by linking it to a separate email.

Can I reroll in Genshin Impact on PS4?

Unfortunately, the PS4 copy of the game is tied to a PSN account, ?So, if you don't want to create a completely new PSN account, you'll have to settle for whatever comes up initially. But for owners of PC and mobile devices, everything is simple.

What are the disadvantages of rerolling in Genshin Impact

The biggest drawback is the waste of time. It will take 20-30 minutes to level up to level 5 (maybe someone can do it faster). It takes even more time to level up to level 10. However, you can miss this moment and reroll only to the fifth level. But remember that the game developers do not approve of these actions, and the more often you create new accounts from the same IP, the higher the probability of getting a ban.
