Last Oasis - errors when logging in, connecting to the server

Learn more about all errors, bugs and crashes in Last Oasis survival.

Make sure there are no programs interfering with the game

There is always a possibility that some applications running on a PC can adversely affect the performance of the Steam client and games. Some applications can even lead to serious consequences, including connection loss or malfunction. If you encounter poor performance of Last Oasis, we recommend disabling all unnecessary applications. This is done, for example, through the task manager (CTRL+ALT+Del).

Below we talk about some of the most common applications that can affect the performance of the game.

Antivirus

Antivirus software penetrates the very depths of the operating system and can affect the hard drive (SSD) or network. This will lead to problems on Steam. Some games use copy protection technology, and antiviruses can treat it as malware and quarantine important files. Make sure your antivirus is not interfering with Steam. Add Steam and a specific game to exceptions, or disable your antivirus completely while playing.

VPN

Nowadays, when the state interferes with the work of the Internet, many are trying to use VPNs - programs that allow you to run applications that are blocked in the country. And since such utilities are connected to the network, they can cause problems in the functioning of Steam. Again - turn off for the duration of the game!

Anti-spyware

Harsh spyware detection tools can interfere with Steam. Or even block the client, making it impossible to connect to content servers. Some Steam web features will stop working, others will not perform their task correctly. Thus, try disabling such programs.

Firewalls and the like

Firewalls and configurations can prevent Steam from working correctly, namely the correct communication of the client with other servers. Add Steam and games to firewall exceptions or disable it completely.

P2P clients and file hosting

P2P programs can consume a lot of your Internet connection bandwidth, which can cause Steam to simply run out of important resources. This will result in reduced traffic quality or loss of connection. When using Steam, run applications for file sharing (such as uTorrent).

FTP

As with P2P utilities, these programs use your internet bandwidth intensively and can cause issues with Steam. Examples include working with databases, HTTP, and other types of dedicated server software.

IP blockers and filters

Such programs are used to restrict incoming and outgoing traffic passing through your network. They are usually installed for corporate networks, but can also be used on PCs. Such utilities are known to cause problems on Steam.

Downloaders like Download Manager

Applications that consume bandwidth can negatively impact Steam's performance by reducing bandwidth.

Hidden processes

Many applications start at Windows startup. They may not even appear on the taskbar, but they remain active processes, consuming system and Internet resources. Therefore, try to get acquainted with the running processes through the "Task Manager".

Installation n??out drivers

Make sure you are using the latest video card drivers. Download them from the AMD or Nvidia website depending on the GPU you are using.
