The best auto battle games

The autobattler genre can be called now, probably, the youngest, because it appeared only in 2019 after the release of the sensational custom game called Dota Auto Chess, which was only a separate map for Dota 2

However, the rapidly growing popularity of "custom" could not fail to interest many game developers, due to which a huge number of games in this genre have appeared, some of which were created just for fun, while others claim to be a real esports discipline.

Auto Chess

You should start, of course, with the progenitor of the genre. Drodo Studio, which released the original "custom" game, eventually made a separate game based on it, which became known simply as Auto Chess. As a basis, all the same well-known heroes from Dota 2 were used, which were given completely new names and models. The company regularly holds tournaments with up to a million dollars in prizes, and the game is hugely popular in China, and has recently been distributed to Western players through Epic Games. Many players note the well-thought-out balance, as well as the somewhat cartoonish graphics of this autobattler.

If the esports component of the game continues to develop rapidly, who knows, maybe it will even be possible to bet on it, and various experts like Dota-bet will give their predictions for upcoming matches.

Dota Underlords

The game Dota Underlords was developed directly by Valve, but also based on Dota 2. Initially, the game was very similar to the aforementioned Auto Chess, but over time, the developers brought in a lot of their ideas, so now the autobattler is strikingly different from its "parent". Unfortunately, it differs from it in the fact that Valve has not yet made any announcements or comments about its esports future, so tournaments are held here only among the community, and the prize money for them does not exceed thousands of dollars.

Teamfight Tactics

Teamfight Tactics is an auto battler based on Riot's popular League of Legends MOBA. The same units and items are used here, and in addition, the developers regularly dilute the game with interesting content and new mechanics. The autobattler is very different from its counterparts, and Riot has already started hosting large-scale tournaments on it. By application?? developers, at the end of each season (with each of them completely changing the theme of the game and its balance), there will be a $ 200,000 tournament, which only the best of the best players in each region will be able to enter.

Prophecy

A young auto-battler based on MOBA Smite, but from other developers. It differs from previous games in that there is no accumulated gold, and units do not have their own classes, which are bought separately and put on like items. Many players note the detailed balance of the game and its less dependence on "randomness" in comparison with its counterparts.

At the moment, the game is in the early testing stage, but the developers have already announced that they plan to hold monthly tournaments with a prize pool of $10,000, which will be open to players with the highest rating, as well as finalists of the weekly qualifiers, each of which will play out $1 000.
