Matt McLaurin: it's not necessary to rush to buy a PlayStation 5

Matt McLaurin, Sony VP of UX Design, hosted a Q&A session on LinkedIn. In addition to talking about the updated interface of the console, he stressed that buying a PS5 right at the start of sales is completely optional. We tell you why.

The main reason is that the PlayStation 4 is still capable of a lot.

There is no need to rush into buying a PS5 prematurely. PS4, especially Pro, is full of power. We intend to continue to invest heavily in the fourth generation.

Thus, the company, apparently, is going to provide players with a smooth generational change. The next major, PS4-exclusive releases are The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima. But do not forget that other AAA multi-platform titles in development will also be released on consoles.
